Harbour Roads was responsive and gave a reasonable quote. They however quoted a non-compressed rolled thickness initially even though I specifically asked for a rolled thickness quote of 2". This was then an extra cost to get to the proper specified thickness which had to be updated a few days before the work was done.
Further, while they did a good job applying and shaping the final course, as well as proper cut outs into the road, it looks like they did not do a proper job of compressing the the mat, as certain sections were still somewhat porous and not dense. The end result is that last week even in the middle of May on a sunny day with temps about 79F a crossover SUV (carrying two adults and 4 children ages 4-6) was able to tear up the top pavement. I have not seen this happen in any other driveway that has been adequately installed and rolled.
