This visit was very professional courtious as usual. I have never had any complaints of this company. I would and have recommended to friends and neighbors.

Watertown Auto Repair was actually my third stop. The first place I tried said they could not do it. I then tried the dealer, but they wanted more than twice the price, so I called here, and was pleased with the quote and expected completion time. Unfortunately, the first time I dropped it off, they were unable to replace the tail light because the part they received was faulty, but they did replace the alternator. They ordered a new tail light and they had it in and the work done the next day. I was very happy with all aspects of their service, and they will be my first stop for any auto work from now on.

Service went as expected

My car was acting up and I was sure the transmission was going out. The vehicle was no longer running properly so I decided to have it towed to Watertown Auto Repair. I had taken another vehicle to this shop about a year ago and experienced no problems. I was sure I had made a good decision. After my car was picked up I called Watertown Auto Repair and informed them that my car was on it's way and told them about the problems I was having with it. I was told they would take a look at it and give me a call back. I got a call the next day informing me that I was in need of a new transmission and was quoted two prices. Approximately 1400 dollars for just the transmission and labor or 1600 dollars for the transmission and labor with a lifetime warranty. I decided to go with the warranty. I was told they would order the transmission and keep me updated. The transmission was supposed to arrive on Monday and my car should have been fixed and ready to go by Tuesday or Wednesday. I received a call on Tuesday and was told that they were having problems with the company that was providing the transmission and it wouldn't be in until Friday. Again I was told they would keep me updated and so far they had. Friday came and went without a call. On Monday I called them and asked about my car. They informed me that they had recieved the transmission and they would call me when my car was ready. Tuesday morning I had a voicemail from the shop telling me that my car was ready and I could call back with any questions. I decided not to call because I thought I had been told everything I needed to know. Later that morning my husband came home from work to take me to pick up my car. When we arrived my car was sitting out front and we went in to pay for the service. When they handed me the paperwork I noticed that the total was about $150.00 dollars more than I had been quoted. When I asked about the price I was told that they found a problem with the sway bar links and they needed to be replaced in order to replace the transmission. I was wondering to myself why I hadn't been called and told about this. So my husband and I payed for the service and went out to get my car. My husband got in and started it up. He asked "Didn't you have gas in this thing?". I told him yes there was about 3/4 of a tank when it was picked up. He got very agitated and I looked and noticed that the tank was on empty and the gas light was even on! My husband went back into the office to ask about the gas and they told him the gas level was not recorded when they got my car in so there was no way to prove that the gas level had gone down that much. Even more frustrating is that my odometer has been broken for some time and has not recorded any mileage. So we had absolutely no way to prove that my gas tank had somehow been emptied since my car was in their care. So, overall I had a terrible experience with Watertown Auto Repair. I was not informed of the extra parts that were needed to fix my car, the repair took a week longer than it was supposed to and I got my car back with and empty gas tank!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I will never take any vehicle to Watertown Auto Repair again! I realize that I could have prevented some of these problems and I have learned from my mistakes. I plan to have my odometer fixed and the next time I take my car to ANY shop I will have them make a note of the amount of gas in the car. I will also be a pest to the next shop who works on my car because I will call and check in. No more trusting and relying on someone else to inform me of whats going on. I will ask questions. Please learn from my mistakes
