CGM CONSTRUCTION

I can't say enough good things about the level of professionalism and responsiveness of CGM's team. Starting with the project review by Adam, the project manager, every detail was covered and multiple options were provided. The project scope and estimate were laid out in detail and delivered when promised. The rebuild on the front porch was not anticipated, but when they found considerable insect damage, they showed me the issues and Adam quickly provided an estimate to rebuild the porch and they dealt with it immediately. A few smaller issues were uncovered as the work progressed and they just dealt with them as part of the job. Though their prices are on the higher end, with CGM, you do get what you pay for, because the quality of work was impeccable. Each member of the team who worked on my house was prompt, courteous, and obviously very skilled. They were on the project for about 6 weeks and never did they leave without cleaning up thoroughly. They would then spend a few minutes looking at the day's work. I asked them about it and was told they always take a look to be sure there wasn't anything they missed or that wasn't quite right, so they could note it for the next day.

We have used CGM previously and were very happy with the quality of the work. Everything from scheduling the work to the completion was done well. 
We developed a leak in roof of an addition.  Nate identified the location and cause immediately.  A crew was sent out in a very timely fashion to make the repairs.  The shingles were matched as well as possible, as the roof is more that 15 years old. They checked the wood under the shingles to make sure there was no damage.  All debris was removed when the job was completed.
The inside drywall will be repaired as soon as it has dried out.  We know the quality of the interior work will be performed with the same high standards.

From the estimate to the completed work, the experience was great.  Estimate for work was fair, the work men were professional.
They listened to our ides for minor design changes and made suggestions as needed.
The work men arrived on time, removed the old porch and steps.  It was obvious that they take pride in their work and it shows!
The old materials were removed and the site was cleaned up at the end of each day, including sweeping the sawdust from the driveway.
The new entryway looks great and will last a very long time. We will use them again.

I wish to retract my former remarks of criticism about CGM. I allowed my emotions to rule my actions. Unfornatley, I had to get another roofer to fix my problem for $2100.00. I would have preferred that CGM would have paid more attention to my concern and at least called me back in a timely fashion. The story is as described above. My impression of CGM is that they are competent but would benefit from better communication with their customers. Therefore, This review is based soley upon their failure to respond appropriately and efficiently to my concerns not their workmanship. I understand the circumstances surrounding the hurricaine but these problems were present before the storm arrived. I am sure many people will benefit from their expertise, unfortunately I was one of the rare few who did not. I wish CGM continued success in the future. I know if they had returned and corrected the problem they would have receive a A rating from me. I found them to be courteous and professional, but unfortunately constrained by their work to follow-up important calls as effectively I would have expected. What work they did perform albeit the wrong roof area appeared to be of good quality.
