John had to knock down walls and patch Sheetrock and ceiling - he also saved doors and framing materials so when done the finished work looks great and all original - very happy - will recommend his work in the future.

John Pacos is top notch. We have used him five times in the last five years. Projects were:
1. Enclosed a 10-inch hole in our mudroom wall where the dryer had formerly vented. Repaired and replaced the drywall inside, and cedar shakes outside.
!2. Complete bathroom remodel. Took old bathroom down to the studs. Built new tiled shower stall (John recommended elevating the height by one foot and adding an overhead light fixture--never would have thought of it but what a difference it made!), new drywalls and ceiling, new wainscoting, new tiled floor, new window trim, installed new bathroom fixtures and outlets, and primed and painted the door, trim, ceiling and walls. Work was completed in one week. This was our first big home improvement project, and we were anxious. John came highly recommended from friends. He was kind, confident, and professional. The job cost exactly what he quoted. And most importantly, we LOVE our new bathroom. LOVE IT! Loving it for 5 years now.
3. Replaced weatherstripping, kick plate, and trim, inside and out, for our back door.
4. Replaced trim around six exterior windows and front door. The trim around the windows across the front of our house was varied, as three different sets of windows had been upgraded at different times. We told John what we hoped to achieve, and how we thought he should best go about it. John studied the windows, and made a different suggestion. He asked us to allow him to replace the trim around one window as per his suggestion, and let us know what we thought. "A-ok, John," we said. When we came outside to see the newly trimmed window, we were absolutely floored by how beautiful it looked! We couldn't stop smiling, it looked that good! John did all the other windows the same, finished in one day, and charged us exactly what he quoted.
5. Replaced kitchen sink. Removed old sink, installed new sink and faucet, removed old caulking, and re-caulked backsplash.
We can't say enough good things about John Pacos (and staff-- his son works for him). Jobs large and small, John Pacos has been an expert, prompt, and fair professional. We consider him an artisan, and we're blessed to have found him. Someday, when we sell our house, his beautiful work will be the reason why.
