+ 1 moreTook a week to get the part but we were kept informed throughout the repair. Have used Dawson in the past for other repairs to the Audi and other vehicles. Also, purchased a vehicle from them for our daughter. Everyone there is professional, responsive and friendly. Also, in the past, the Audi needed work. Dawson identified what needed to be done but informed us that this particular repair should be done by an Audi dealer. Greatly appreciated their honesty!
Description of Work: 2002 Audi A4 engine light was on. Had taken it to a local Audi dealer who "couldn't find a problem". Light stayed on and I started to smell gasoline fumes. Dawson Motors found the problem that was a faulty seal in the gas tank. The gas tank in total had to be replaced due to Audi parts requirements.

+ -1 moreIt was a big repair. It was related to ball joints. We have been using them for 15 years. They are one of the few mechanics that we can speak about. We use them most of the time. They do have a high-level of professionalism. They are owned by Dawson and it's a husband and wife team. It is a local independent concern. They do large variety of things. We can get our car repaired and we can buy tires. They also sell used cars. I always felt that they were very honest. They have never tried to gouge us, never tried to tell us we need something that we don't need, and their dealings with us have always been fair and their prices have been fair. The mechanics aren't cheap either. The people themselves are very friendly and responsive. I can usually get an appointment fairly quickly. Sometimes they do things and don't charge us. They have always been very accommodating. I remember coming there with an inspection sticker that needed to get stuck on the windshield. Every time I stick those, they peel off. I just asked their help and they put my sticker on for me and didn't charge me. They are very accommodating. I think they charged $800 without labor cost. I will use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreThey are great with basic repairs. I would be reluctant to use them again for more complicated issues. We had a problem with the airbag warning light, which they misdiagnosed.
Description of Work: They performed various car repairs on my vehicle. We worked with a technician named Frank who I really liked. Unfortunately, it seems that he may be on extended leave and was not able to help us on our most recent visit.
