We found that it was difficult to get the job completed by this company. They were very enthusiastic to being with. However they left many things incomplete or undone. They had to come back to reinstall some areas that did not have the depth of foam they agreed to. Many small items were also never addressed. They claimed that they had completed the job and demanded payment. We with held about 10% of the final payment until the the last items were addressed. Instead of finishing/addressing these things items. They filed a law suit against us for the amount we held back. At this time we feel the job is incomplete. Here is a list of the items things they left undone. Their initial plan required the house to be vacant for 1 day however when they showed up it turned out the house had to be vacant for 2 days. This was highly inconvenient since the hotel did not have any openings beyond the 1 day we were told we needed and had booked. They left foam debris everywhere. A lot of it was bagged up and left in about 40 black garbage bags in our back yard. (Our Sales guy Doug did't tell us this is how its going to be left but it is in the contract so read it over carefully.) In addition bits of foam where left everywhere. All over the house and in the attic. See the pictures of the attic to see how it is going to be left. We were lead to believe that all the foam cut away would be bagged up. They sprayed foam on the exterior vents in our attic to close them. This resulted in foam spilling out of the outside of the house. It looks terrible. We contacted them several times to return and fix the issue however they just ignored my calls. See the attach pictures. North East also installed masking and taped off several rooms. However instead of using a blue tape or something that could easily be removed they installed the masking with Duct Tape. As you can guess when it was removed it ripped paint off the wall in numerous locations. (see attach Photos) We also found that the crawl space and several section of sill plate which was suppose to be completed was not done. Again we made North East Spray foam aware of the issue and they ignored our complaints. We have found the process of dealing with them to be very difficult. They make it all sound very good and easy but as time went on they refused to finish the little items that we agreed to.

Great job! This is a 110yr old farmhouse that wasn't very well insulated. This is a second home that we use mostly during ski season. We meet with the contractor and he was very thorough in describing the benefits of their product. He reviewed the process and how long it would take to complete the job. We gave them the keys to the house and they did the rest. They were extremely neat. You would never have known they had been in the house. The outcome is fantastic, the home is much warmer and the fuel bill is down. At that time there was a max tax credit of $1500 which we used. I can't remember the cost, but is was well worth it and I thought it was reasonable. I will call them immediately if I have the need again.

Two workers showed up on-time on the day scheduled. I was told that the job would take 1.5 days, but they left the job incomplete after 2 days. They made several mistakes, which required them to come back for 1 day to complete the job.

After the first day of work, the space was foamed with exception of the peak of the house. By 3pm on the second day, the foam was complete, and mostly trimmed. The sprayer nozzle broke, which causes one of the workers to drive around looking for a replacement part. It took about an hour for him to get back.

Around 5pm, they still had a lot of work left to do, and a huge rain storm came through. I found that all of my brand new windows had been left wide open in the rain storm. The plastic covering the windows trapped the water right up against the brand new window casing. Fortunately there was no permanent damage done, but these two men showed absolutely no respect for my property. At 6pm, the work was still not done, and I needed to leave my house because of a family obligation. I left them with a trusted friend to lock up the house once they were done.

The workers left after 7pm, but the job was not complete. More than 15 bags of excess foam were left in big garage bags on my front lawn. 2 full bags were left open in the attic. 1 bucket of spray material was left behind along with the huge knife used to trim the foam. The plastic that was used to cover the floor was strewn everywhere. It does not appear that any cleaning was done because there was spray foam on the new windows and all over the floor. My biggest fear was that these workers left in such a rush that they did not apply the moisture barrier properly.

Fortunately the office was receptive to sending a person to my house the following week, where he confirmed that the foam was not sprayed to a nominal level, and the moisture barrier was not applied properly. We also found that the overhead electrical wires in the attic had been cut when the foam was trimmed. I was told that this was not their fault because these wires should have been protected.

The company made good on the situation, by coming back to the house 3 weeks later once the wiring had been repaired to fill the foam to the proper level, spray the moisture barrier, and thoroughly clean the area. I am happy with the end result and the product, but the process to get there was not ideal.

They did what they were supposed to do. THey did a very good job, it's just that this type of insulation is very expensive. Overall, it was very positive.
