After the work on the rear overhang of the roof was started he attempted to raise the estimnated price to finish the job. I rejected the price increase and the job was relunctantly finished in the rear of my house. The attempted repair of a weak section of the roof in the front of my house was done horribly. The result was a roof leak and this person did not make good on the work, I had to hire a different contractor to fix the mess they had made. The new contractor explained that Vanbenschoten and sons had no idea what they were doing and just made a mess of my roof.
Becareful they may make a "low ball" estimate to get the job then jack up the price later. These people are not skilled at what they offer to do. I would not let them work on my house at no charge.
