We'd give MLC Masonry 100 stars if we could! We needed a new walkway as our decades-old concrete walkway had a couple cracks in it, and was not attractive in any way. We looked at a few local contractors' websites, but MLC Masonry's really stood out. We called Carlos at MLC Masonry, Inc. and made an appointment for him to look at the project. We were immediately impressed with Carlos and his knowledge and experience. His vision for our new walkway was far and away better than what we'd imagined. Carlos' crew was a foursome of very nice, respectful, talented, and experienced craftsmen who worked tirelessly for seven days on our walkway. Our new stone walkway, landing, and columns (columns were Carlos' excellent suggestion) are absolutely gorgeous!! We are thrilled with it and look forward to working with Carlos again in the fall on a smaller project. If you're looking for top-shelf quality workmanship, definitely call MLC Masonry.

Carlos Naula was very responsive to our initial request........he actually had the job started sooner than expected. The three workers showed up every morning at 7:30am and worked until 5-530. They even worked when the weather was not so good and they were very pleasant and trustworthy. Even though the price ended up being more than we planned due to the prep work needed, we are very happy with the job done by MLC.

I finally found the money to do the job and I found Carlos on Angie's list. I read a lot of reviews and looked at a lot of pictures before submitting a request for a call to discuss on his website. He got back to me almost immediately and has done so every time I've called him since. Carlos came by in the evening two days later, spoke very knowledgably about all of the possibilities and gave me a very reasonable quote on the spot. Carlos is very personable, friendly and down to earth and also very professional and reliable, not an easy combination to find in my experience. He send me a contract, I returned it with a down payment and we set the date right away. Much to my happiness, he was able to start earlier than expected and finished the job in 4 days (even sent a crew out on Saturday morning to put the finishing touches on!). His crew were polite, efficient and cleaned up without my having to say a word. The entire experience was completely stress free! My steps are so beautiful now that sometimes I just like to sit and admire them. I highly recommend MLC and will definitely hire them again for my next masonry project!!

MLC's operation is very professional, with a permanent crew and commercial construction equipment to get the job done quickly and efficiently.  Originally, our project involved replacing our crumbling concrete front stoop and cracked sidewalk with concrete paving stones, and adding two new wrought-iron railings on the stoop and replacing a third on the steps going down to the driveway.  We also wanted ledgestone installed on an existing concrete block retaining wall that sits next to the steps near the driveway.  The necessary equipment was brought in the day before work got underway and a crew of 4 worked on our home for 5 days, arriving promptly at 7:15 am every day and diligently working until 5 pm with only a short coffee break and lunch.  On the first day, after work had begun on the sidewalk, we made the decision to replace the siding on the lower half of our raised ranch home with the same ledgestone that was being put on the retaining wall.  I thought we would have to schedule MLC to come back at another time to do this work, but the owner (Carlos) immediately got the stone, and when it rained too hard the next day for work on the sidewalk to continue, they quickly switched gears and started working on removing the siding and prepping the wall for the stone, which kept them on schedule.  Watching this crew work was like watching a well-oiled machine--the progress they made each day was very gratifying to see.  Having this work done in October, with concerns about impending cold weather, we were under the gun to get this project done quickly. As a result of our own procrastination and the last-minute changes/additions we made that nearly doubled the cost, a lot of the decisions had to be made on the fly and without the research and consideration we would normally give a project of this size (a stressful, nerve-wracking approach I don't recommend).  Given that, I'm even more amazed that MLC was able to bring my vision to life with very few hiccups or disappointments, and in record time.  Bottom line, they're very good at what they do and Carlos' experience and guidance were very helpful when we needed to make those quick decisions.  Yes, there were a couple of minor details that I would've liked to have seen done differently (which is true on any construction project), but overall, they did a beautiful job and we continue to get numerous compliments on our home from neighbors and strangers alike.  We got three estimates, and MLC's was the highest, but after talking to each contractor, MLC came across as the most knowledgeable, skilled and experienced (take a look at their website and FB page; they work on a lot of very large projects and high-end homes).  As we wrestled with making a decision, a family member said, "If money wasn't an issue, who would you choose?"  Without hesitation, I said, "MLC".  There it was, decision made.  You get what you pay for--if you want a professional job, hire a professional.  In retrospect, I'm very glad we went with MLC and wouldn't hesitate to hire Carlos again should we need more work done on our home.

We called MLC, and they gave us the cell phone number of "Carlos." He called us back very quickly. The price seemed high - the snowfall was between 18-24", but it wasn't super wet/heavy snow. But we were out of town for a funeral, had zero contractors lined up for snow removal, and MLC/Carlos were the only ones we called who were prompt, professional, on-the-ball, and ready to clear the snow (this was a huge snowfall - everyone around needed snow cleared at the same time). Carlos came when he promised, and a call to our neighbor confirmed it had been done on time (city regulations say that we have 24 hours after a snow fall to clear the sidewalks). When we returned home, we observed first-hand that everything we agreed upon had been cleared, and well done. Our only regret was the price, but beggars could not be choosers in our position. I would hire Carlos via MLC again in a heartbeat if the price were lower. Zero complaints about anything but that, however.

Overall I would say that the service was good. The package price for the above was pretty good and Carlos is punctual and his workers put in an honest days work. He did add to the price very slightly for a change to the design but all things considered I think the price was pretty fair and my walkway in particular gets alot of compliments.
