I've been going to Earth Angels Veterinary Hospital for years. I had two dogs who had died in a fire and Earth Angels were so remarkable and so compassionate. They helped me to deal with their deaths. They're such a caring hospital and all of my dogs have been happy there. The dogs I adopt are special needs and they really care for them in a fantastic way. They use traditional medicine, holistic and homeopathic medicine. They don't jump into giving them medications or anything, but work on what the underlying problem is. They are the cleanest vet's office I've ever seen. If there's an emergency or something that makes you have to wait long, they explain what it is. I once had a dog who was very scared of people, and they actually came outside to look at him, instead of having him get stressed out by going inside. I've recommended them to people.

Earth Angels Veterinary Hospital are very nice. They're expensive. My dog has special needs. He's blind and has other stuff. So they're very kind and they listen to you and they're very tender with the dogs. They're nice and understanding and listens to everything before they proceed with anything.

They are very understanding and they are very holistic. My dog is epileptic and they are understanding of her condition. They take the blood work diligently. They may be a little more expensive than others but they are worth it.

Argo, my beloved pet cat and part of my family was brought in to Dr. Alex because I wanted to find alternative healing methods combined with traditional methods. I needed a vet who had traditional knowledge, common sense,who loved animals and was well versed in holistic healing  methods. There are so many vets who don't know what they are doing and who really don't care. This had been my experience . Two years before a friend of mine lost her cat because a vet diagnosed wrongly. It cost his life and my friend is still heartbroken, because it could have been prevented. 
As we were searching for a new Vet, my banker recommended Earth Angels and told us how wonderful they were.  I believe that because of Earth Angels, Argo was able to live longer and happier. On our first visit, we entered into a calm and caring atmosphere.   Argo was treated with love and respect. He wasn't just an animal being brought into a vet. He was an individual whom they wanted to get to know and heal. They approached us in the same way. Dr. Alex would talk to us at length. She never rushed us out the door nor did her staff. After she healed Argo's first problem ( eye infection) with natural medications,  our greatest challenge presented itself. Argo could not urinate and was brought into Earth Angels for an emergency appointment. They didn't make us wait - We were seen immediately and Argo received the help he needed. Earth Angels was very busy that day, but they made time to see Argo. When we called, they asked for his symptoms and said "Bring him in immediately..." They saved his life. We were informed that in a matter of hours he would have died. Argo was given a blood test as well, he again was examined from head to toe and we were given specific directions ( verbal and written)on how to take care of him. When Dr. Alex received the test results, she called us personally, and informed us that Argo had Renal Kidney Disease. It was well on it's way. She was very compassionate and also gave us hope on what road we could take to help Argo live longer and have good quality of life. She was always honest and compassionate. She informed us of what our options were, but never tried to manipulate the situation. As our journey with Argo progressed, our decision was to do everything possible to save him. Dr. Alex and her staff were always available to see Argo on a moments notice and help him. Dr. Alex was also open to what was going to help Argo, for example, she realized that if I stayed with Argo while they had to perform a procedure he reacted much more positively then if I was not with him) W hen the time came that I had to "let Argo go :-( " -they supported whatever my decision would be and helped my partner and I stay strong through it all. Dr. Alex and Staff were "there" for Argo as well as for us. They even cried. They took care of everything and called afterwards to
see how we were doing. I believe Argo lived longer and happier because of Dr. Alex and her staff at EARTH ANGELS. The name is who they are - Angels on Earth here to help all the animals that grace their path. Abandoned and injured cats are left at their door step. EarthAngels treated them and kept them as pets when they could - they also found homes for those abandoned as well.  They have beensupportive in many areas of our lives and I know that if we decide to adopt another pet(s) there is no doubt that their Vet will be Dr. Alex and her loving staff at Earth Angels! Thank you all so much for all that you have done for us and Argo who I know is watching from heaven!
My only wish is that I had found Earth Angels long ago - I know Argo would have still been alive, because they pay attention to your pet at Earth Angels and would have caught this terrible disease before it did its damage.  My advice to all of you, Don't hesitate - EARTH ANGELS will keep your pet healthy and save their lives!  

I am a local breeder of German Shepherd Dogs and while I have many of the same needs as a household with one pet I also require many different types of services from my vet. I've been in the NY area now for six years and having this office open was a breath of fresh air! Dr. Alex is an excellent vet who is extremely knowledgeable. She has one than more occasion saved the lives of my dogs and pups by using her "out of the box" thinking.  The office is never overly crowded which helps in not stressing out animals.  Dr. Alex uses a mix of conventional and natural approaches to managing and healing animals so this might not be for everyone but take it from someone who has had animals for over 20 years. A one sized approach to veterinary care DOES NOT fit all animals. Having both at your disposal is invaluable when it comes to animal husbandry. Dr. Alex is very personable and knows dogs! She always is on the floor with my animals and she also knows the nuances of dog breeds and dog behavior and treats all the animals she sees with the utmost respect. They know it and respond favorably. The office setting is calm and serene, it is immaculate and honestly I would eat off their floors it is so clean! I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking and will even go on to say that they are the best in the area! They are slightly more expensive than other vets, BUT , you get more for your money there than with any other vet. The practice is brand new and has all the modern equipment. In addition to that Dr. Alex knows many of the areas top vets and she in not afraid of suggesting that you consult with one of them if she feels it is not in her level of expertise. In all my twenty years of having dogs I can honestly say that this vet is second to none. She truly has a gift to understand, treat and heal animals. She cares about every client that comes in and always takes the time to explain things in a simple way. If you are looking for a new vet you have found it! Hands down the best in the area and I am very thankful that Dr. Alex has opened her doors in my community!

We have been back for a follow up visit and will continue to see her on a quarterly basis. It is a two hour drive for us to visit her office and I would go if it were double that. First the office staff is highly professional and very caring toward your pet. The exam room is very inviting. There table is folded up against the wall and they have a blanket laid out on the floor for your pet. When we arrived they provided a bowl of water for my dog. There is soothing music playing in the exam room. Dr. Alex sat and explained everything to me. She gave me time to ask questions and answered every one of them. I was not rushed at all. When I had follow up questions, she promptly responed to me. I have not had a veterinary experience like this ever.

Our elderly dog was due for her annual check-up. We transferred her records to Earth Angels for on-going preventive medical care, as the location was closer to our home. Although exhibiting no symptoms, it turns out our dog had "walking pneumonia" and the doctor spent over 45 minutes consulting with my husband, examining our dog. Our dog had x-rays, blood tests etc. at the office. Overall, a very excellent experience, as the doctor looked at our dog as a member of our family, and provided "holistic" care. My husband came home not only with a proper diagnosis and care, but with a bag full of antibiotics, vitamins, etc. It's been a little over a week and our dog is acting and feeling like new! She's going for a follow-up checkup next week. We highly, highly recommend Earth Angels. They are caring, wonderful vets, with expertise to match the overall holistic care your pet will receive.

By the time we found Dr. Alex (Alexandra Barrientos), my dog had been sick for nearly three months. We'd seen six different doctors - including highly-recommended specialists - at four different veterinary practices, spent a small fortune, and put my poor dog through all kinds of uncomfortable and distressing tests, but still did not have a diagnosis, much less any kind of treatment. Milo felt terrible, I was heartsick, and we were both exhausted. The staff at Earth Angels (Carrie and Stacy) were immediately responsive, getting us in the afternoon that I called. When we arrived, they were welcoming and comforting; just being there made me feel better. Milo and I both immediately liked Dr. Alex. She is warm, kind, easygoing, accessible, thoughtful, practical and incredibly knowledgeable. She clearly knows, understands, and loves dogs. I cried with relief after our first visit, feeling for the first time like help was at hand. After our second visit, we had a diagnosis. We began treatment on the third visit. About a month later, Milo is almost completely healed, and I feel like a huge stone has been lifted off my heart. My gratitude to Dr. Alex knows no bounds. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Was a wonderful experience with Dr. Alex. The staff there is wonderful too. I had to go back because I found a little blood on the floor a couple days after the visit. The doctor was off on Monday and I e-mailed her. She e-mailed me back right away. I could have gone to the local ER vet hospital (that the doctor brings her own pets to), but I didn't feel it was urgent. I took her in the next day and that is when Dr. Alex had the results of the stool sample and with the blood, confirmed it was Giardia. They gave me medicine for her and followed up the next day. I called several times that week and they were so attentive and thorough. I would recommend this vet to anyone.
