EXCELSIOR HOME INSPECTION CO

I contacted Peter and within 2 days the inspection was set. He was prompt, friendly and thorough. He cleary explained every aspect of the inspection to me, and recommended what was necessary to fix and what was an incidental. After the inspection concluded, I called him a few days later to conduct a radon test. Again, he was thorough, prompt and efficient. He was a true professional.

We were looking to purchase a small farm, with a large main house, as well as a small apartment over a four car garage. We called the home inspector, Tom Corrigan, that we had used years before, but he had retired. He recommended Peter Schaming of Excelsior Home Inspection. He was wonderful. Like Mr. Corrigan, Mr. Schaming does not work "with" real estate agents and is a totally independent contractor, which avoid bias.The inspection was very, very thorough - claiming on roofs, in attics and in crawl spaces. Mr. Schaming left no stone unturned, even uscrewed boards that were covering up access under a porch to determine structural integrity. The inspection took 5 hours. If you are looking for a quick yes man, then Mr. Schaming is not your guy. His inspection helped up to avoid a costly mistake. I have recommended his services to friends and they are all very pleased with his service.He charged $350 per living unit, which is why the total fee was $700.00.
