The workers and the staffs were fantastic. They were very prompt. They have coffee and snacks in the waiting room.

I was busy and didn't have time to change my own brakes before a trip. Charged $80 for a pair of rear brakes, $150 for a pair of rotors. It still ended up taking them about 4.5 hours, although some of that was reportedly because of traffic since they had to get parts from another store. They did a decent job installing the new brakes other than that they might have over torqued and broke on of the wheel studs; they did replace it free of charge.  Overall a bit expensive for just replacing a set of brakes. Lesson learned: plan ahead and do it yourself or pay the premium.

He was quite good.  He fixed it.  When they did preventative maintenance on my dryer they did stop up my sink downstairs.  I think if you watch them they will do well.  But, I had some other stuff going on with that time so I couldn't really watch them.  If you have an emergency it is good because they can come out pretty much right away.

Our contact did not go well.  Our sense is that we were talking with someone - probably not in this country - who was speaking from a script.  Their mission?   Bargain with us to spend $199 on the visit including all necessary repairs with a guarantee OR spend $129 and then the cost of whatever was wrong.  Which might or might not add up to $199.  This went on and on and on with the individual on the phone trying to talk us into the $199.  We finally persuaded him we'd take a chance on the $129 visit.  Then we found we would have to wait days for a visit since we did not have an extended service contract on the item.   We set a date. 

This contact resulted in our subscrbing to Angie's list where we came up with a great contractor who replaced the thermostat in our dryer the following day.  Total cost of visit - $105.  We cancelled our appointment  with Sears.  I won't be calling them again.

We used their services because most of our appliances were from there. There was no cost involved as it was under warranty. We contacted them through their service number in the phone book. We have not had any trouble with them at all. They were all nice. We called them, they sent someone right out, everything was done without any trouble.

The water heater was old (20 years!) and fortunately hadn't flooded. After trying several dealers, Sears clearly had the best value (55 gal/9-year warranty?). The installation went well, as the technician was friendly, careful, complete and cleaned up everything when he left.

The tires were back-ordered. Sears kept in touch to let us know the progress of my order. The sales manager was very friendly and very helpful.
