Excellent. He was very knowledgeable and was at our home 30 minutes after we talked. He was second company we called when first company didn’t have a clue. Fixed in less than an hour at very reasonable price.

They responded quickly, knew what parts to order, and promptly came back once the parts were in and the fridge is like new, again. Will definitely call them again when we need work done.

Very prompt reply and service date was scheduled quickly. Knowledgable on Whirlpool we had. Work completed to our satisfaction.

Been using Al for at least 30 years. Head and shoulders above all others. Come to think of it, who are the others?

Let's just put it this way - I'd hire him again in an instant! He was able to get to us 2 days earlier than planned and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. He was very personable as well as professional.

Mr. Pickering called me back himself a few hours after my initial call. Even tho it was late in the day, he promised to stop by as soon as he could. I should note that I called 3 other providers in the meantime and none of the three could come the same day - despite their "same day service" claims. Pickering has no such claim, but did so anyway.
Alan arrived around 5:30 PM and was courteous, professional, listened carefully to the problem and then dove in. Man, what a terrific guy! He began eliminating possibilities - starting with the most obvious stuff, and working through. Finally, he got it to where he was sure it would work well - and while he did not need to put in any new parts, he mentioned that he feared there may still be a possibility of one other problem. He then informed me he would order that part in, at no charge to me unless his current fix didn't work and I really needed it later. He asked me to keep an eye on the temps overnight, and refused any payment until he checked back today to see it it was working as it should. I don't know a compressor from a hole in the ground and he could have put in some parts and charged me for them and I wouldn't have known the difference and been happy just because it worked. But he didn't do that. He took the most economical route for me, and got the job done quickly and properly.
Pickering is a keeper. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

He was easy to get ahold of and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. He is vey knowledgeable and reliable. I also contacted him recently when I needed a part for my washing machine. I called on a Friday night around 5:30 pm, and he allowed me to drive over to his house to pick up the part that same night. I will continue to use him for any appliance issue in the future.

Our Subzero refrigerator required service under warranty; Pickering Appliance came twice to repair it. The first visit was to diagnose the problem and order the part, then he came back to install it. The problem was fixed and the fridge has worked fine ever since. Mr. Pickering was prompt and friendly and worked effectively with the Subzero service department.

I had an "F1" code coming up on the display for my double-oven. As I had had success with Mr. Pickering for a problem with my Sub-Zero refrigerater (came with the house - actual appliance out of my price range :-) in terms of prompt service, expert repair and reasonable price the previous year, I contacted him again.

My double-oven had also come with the house and was about 20 years old. Mr. Pickering promptly came to my house, diagnosed the problem, told me he didn't think the part was still available, but that he would get back to me and let me know. He called later that same day with the part number and that he had called a few places to see if he could locate one for me. He could not. He said that it may be possible to send my current one out to a service for repair, which would be much cheaper than replacing the ovens. He was right and I am very happy with my ovens now.

I told him to send me a bill for his time, but he refused. I can't say enough about his honesty, professionalism, value, and service. A+ all the way!!

Pickering Appliances was excellent, his cost was very reasonable, when I had called, I had had surgery on my shoulder and I was going through physical therapy, I was going for therapy a few times a week so I was in and out of the house, and my drier had stopped drying. I called him and the answering machine said that he was out of town and would be back the following Monday so left a message and he called back immediately and he said that they were getting ready to go out and he made an appointment for the first day they got back, which happened to be a day I had physical therapy and so he said, if I was comfortable, I could leave the back door unlocked, he would go down and look at it and he would lock the door when he left. I had heard of him and it wasn't any in dept conversation and I had a tenant upstairs, so I was quite comfortable with it, so he came and he replaced the belt on my drier and left the old belt there and he locked up and left the bill on top of my washing machine. I was very very happy with it.

Al Pickering was just as described. Very pleasant and fixes problems quickly and then goes the extra mile. My freezer coils were freezing so he ran a copper wire down the piece that was freezing after he fixed the part as an extra precaution.

Al handles about everything. He's a great guy and really knows what he's doing. He can service just about anything you have. My kids want me to replace my appliances, but with repairs from Al, they're still working fine.

Alan responded very quickly to my call to repair a frozen defrost drain tube in my refrigerator. I left a phone message Friday evening before July Fourth weekend and heard from him first thing after the holiday. He performed the service that very afternoon. His rates are incredibly reasonable, he didn't waste our time, and he found a solution that prevented us from replacing any parts. I will be calling him first from now on.

Large Built in Sub Zero Refridgerator, that would have been Thousands of Dollars to Replace. System was on it's last legs but Mr. Pickering was able to repair it, and get to work good as new. This man is extremely knowlegable, and knew just what the problem was. He worked quickly and efficeintly. A real master craftsman. I can't even find the words to tell you how pleased we were. No One else wanted to work on this thing. He is a special guy, uncommon in this day and age. Complicated repair that involved rebuilding this unit.
