Description of Work: I contracted to have a decorative retaining wall built to keep a hill on the side of my house from sliding into my house. I was quoted and paid $15,000. First, he measured wrong; 2nd he ordered stone that was going to cost $165,000. He did not do his homework as to cost and had to return the stone. He brought in backhoe and other equipment to dig away the hill to make room for the wall. He removed trees, etc. in the process which were actually holding back the hill. He walked away from the job leaving me and my neighbors with a muddy mess, a caving hill, destroyed driveway, mounds of dirt that had to be removed. I got estimates for the damage from other, more reputable landscapers, the least of which was $150,000! I spent 2 years trying to sue him and ended up with $20,000 - $4000 of which went to my attorney. I know this happened pre-knowledge of Angie's list, but I'm compelled to warn others of this scammer!
