"We are glad you are happy with the finished project and thank you for your valued business. We have tried to resolve this with you; however, you have been unwilling to do so. The last time we spoke, you said you would pay the bill and leave us a bad review which is unfair. You called us on May 13th, we met on May 20th and we provided your estimate on June 1st so it only took (11) days to receive your estimate. We put a lot of time and energy into our estimates to make sure they are accurate and reflective of the work our customers request. You signed the estimate for the drainage and patio that you originally requested. After that you asked for an additional estimate for retaining walls, a walk to your playground area and a walk to the front of your house. I provided this 2nd estimate to you which you also signed. No design was needed for the patio or walls because we were replacing existing ones and the playground excavation was already completed. We agreed that the walk to the front of your house would be painted out onsite several days before the work was to be completed and agreed upon before any work was done. The shapes and sizes of all the hardscaping were described in detail on the contract proposal, as well as what was and was not included. You sent payment less the amount for the additional work that you requested for the wall between the concrete walk and steps that you had added on. Your original proposal specifically said, “Does not include replacing the wall between the concrete walk and steps” but you added it on afterwards. Weeks after you received the invoice, you asked to speak to the owner who called and spoke to you on (3) different occasions trying to resolve this, but you were unable to commit. Finally, you said you wanted to meet instead of discussing on the phone. He agreed to that, however, you decided not to meet and said you would send a detailed letter which we never received. The offer still stands to meet with you if you would like to review anything with us."
"We appreciate the opportunity to service your property and are glad you are pleased with our work. Thank you."
"We have made several attempts to contact you letting you know that we would come out to do some seeding to repair any damage that was caused due to the extremely wet weather when we originally performed the work. We also said we would come out and clean your windows from any debris that our service may have caused. Additionally, we did not charge you extra fees for the additional clean up. We heard back from you on February 1st. We cleaned the windows that had debris on them and seeded the bare areas. We spoke with you on May 1st after the seeding and you said the back looks great but wasn't too sure about the front. We had originally seeded while we were out there as additional customer service, however, you had a fence installed and that impacted the grass in the front yard. We went back out again and seeded the front and have left a message and emailed you to try to touch base one last time but have been unable to. If you are satisfied with the resolution, we would appreciate your consideration in revising this review as these ratings are important to us. We strive to make sure all of our customers are satisfied with the we do for them. Thank you."
"Please note that Highpoint is a source of referral work from our firm, but in no way are our firms connected, nor are we responsible for their performance. We have done our best to address the situation and have worked with the BBB who has determined that we have addressed the issues within the complaint and have closed the case in their files."

Re: Benson Enterprises response:
They write, "We would have set up an appointment to meet with you to review your project, however, you declined [emphasis added] and we said we would stop by when in the area to provide you with your estimate."
This is TOTALLY inaccurate. When I called I did want to set up an appointment but was told that they were busy and couldn't get to it immediately so would stop by when they had a chance. I accepted that although it wasn't what I really wanted. I was NEVER given the option to set up an appointment. I did, however, presume that they would at least do me the courtesy of contacting me before they arrived at my door -- especially early in the morning. Frankly, showing up first thing in the morning suggests they knew the evening before that they were going to be dropping by and could have called. They also could have called when they set out in the morning. They did neither.
Furthermore, showing up unannounced means there is no guarantee that the client will even be home so how can they discuss the project and find out just what the client wants? This doesn't strike me as being very professional nor even a good use of their time. Would they have been willing to come back to discuss it with me? Does it make sense to make two trips just to give an estimate? None of this makes any sense to me at all.
"We have left messages and tried to contact you several times to discuss this and have been unable to reach you. We would have set up an appointment to meet with you to review your project, however, you declined and we said we would stop by when in the area to provide you with your estimate. When we arrived on your property, we went to your door to let you know we were there to take a look at it. It is our professional opinion that the only safe way to repair the front stoop is to remove it, stabilize it with gravel and re-construct the bricks. We would have been happy to walk you through our estimate and answered any questions that you had, if only you would have contacted us."
"Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We appreciate the opportunity to service your property and are happy you are satisfied with our work."
"We do apologize for the delay in getting the proposal to you, however, it was provided to you on June 2nd and we have followed up with you by phone a few times since. We hope you will keep us in mind for any of your future landscaping needs."
"Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to working with you again."
