Wood or Fiber Cement Siding Installation or Complete Replacement
Only selected "Wood or Fiber..." because I couldn't select Bathroom Renovation. Joel had previously done 2 roofs for us...fair price, great communication, professional work. Due to the positive experience, we contracted with him for a bathroom renovation. Totally different experience this time. Lack of communication, subpar workmanship, project mismanagement. After 9 weeks we finally told him we wanted to terminate the project. Our deposits amounted to more than the work that was done. Tried to work out a refund of our money with Joel, couldn't agree on an amount. Decided we would accept his number just to be done with the situation, haven't heard from him since. Got a lawyer involved, Joel said he would respond within 14 days, but we haven't heard from him. The photos show how the worksite was very messy. We will be taking him to small claims court.

Metal roof, but that was not an option in the drop down menu.
In 2024 I contracted with J. Ventura Contracting, LLC for a home roof repair. I paid the downpayment. By text, Joel Ventura repeatedly promised to do the job right away but never made any arrangements to do anything. After a few months, he stopped responding at all. I received a Judgment from Vestal Small Claims Court on January 14, 2025. Ventura never attempted to resolve this matter.
1 star is too high, but zero stars was not an option

They replaced a roof on my property in December of 2021 and did an excellent job. In the spring of this year, during a wind storm, a few shingles blew off the roof. Upon contacting their company, the shingles were replaced the next day. I highly recommend the company and the stand by their work.

J. Ventura Contracting recently completed work on my roof. It was a large job and I understood going into it, this would be a major roofing project. Joel and his team made the experience easier than I expected. The roof removal and installation happened on the rainiest month in several years. They did have a problem, but returned to fix it like new.

J. Ventura Contracting recently completed work on my roof. It was a large job and I understood going into it, this would be a major roofing project. Joel and his team made the experience easier than I ever imagined. They were easy to work with. and whenever I had a concern, the whole process was explained to me. They guys went beyond my expectations, especially since we had a major snow storm right in the middle of the project that dumped 40 inches of snow on the area where I live. The team didnâ t let it slow them down much, as they came ready to shovel out and resume work. I had seen and heard horror stories about roofing, and I was honestly scared to get this project done. Joel and his team were professionals and it showed. The price was reasonable and the end result looks great.

This Company was willing to wait/fit me in when I had to wait for the insurance company to finish their inspection and release of compensation. They worked hard, efficiently, with good knowledge of project and finished well within expectations. The owner was quick to respond to questions and answered all very positively. I would hire this Company again without hesitation.

Had a difficult time with the code department at the town of union. Joel was able to get a building permit because the code officer refused to do his job and tell me how i needed to build the porch to code. I would recommend Joel to others.
