Five Star Kitchens

We shopped around. We selected 5 Star after being referred by the contractor. We ordered Medallion cabinets from 5 Star and they were high quality and quite expensive. Notwithstanding, we chose 5 Star because we expected the job to go smoothly since the designer had a good working relationship with the contractor. Also, the 5 Star service included inspecting the installation at different phases of the job, and upon completion, and also to follow up to make any necessary adjustments after installation. The kitchen remodel did not go well. In our opinion, the 5 Star designer was working for the contractor and not for us, the client. Deliveries of cabinet doors and skins were delayed to accomomodate the contractor who was doing other jobs, while delaying work on our job.The contractor told us that the designer ordered the wrong size cabinets and that her measurements were wrong and that he had to make adjustments for certain cabinets and the sink in order to complete the installation. We did not get the sink we ordered from the showroom. After installation, no one from 5 Star came to inspect the installation, so we contacted the manufacturer directly because we were having problems with the drawers and cabinet doors. The manufacturer then contacted 5 Star who came along with the manufacturer to adjust the drawers and cabinet doors, but only after the manufacturer contacted them. We spent a lot of money and in our opinion, we did not get the service we paid for. We had no intention of writing a review, but we've received several email requests from 5 Star asking us to write a review about the job. We were not happy with the service and would not recommend 5 Star or use them again.
