Myself and another person requested and quot;on site' shredding services for medical records. However, the following problems occurred:
1) Nonrecipt of the proposed services letter which was suppose to be emailed the day of initial consult--didn't receive the this letter until after collection of bags occured despite several request for letter
2)inability to get bags for shredding material in timely fashion--several reassurances via email that I would receive the bags in a timely fashion but recieved at the last minute
3) lack of communication regarding time of day for when the truck was suppose to come to shred the material. I called the day that shredding was suppose to occur. I was told that the truck would be there between 1- 5 pm but the truck came at 11:30 am
4) Change of location of shredding--we had requested and quot;on siteand quot; shredding but due to time constraints we had to agree to off site shredding because the truck that was sent did not have a shredder on the truck
5) lack of communication and indifference of the issues and concerns I had from the company
6) When I did not received confirmation that the off site shredding had occured. I contacted the office to find out what had occurred. One month later after they had picked the bags for shredding, I found out the and quot;off siteand quot; shredding machine had been broken for approximately one month. I emailed every week for 3 weeks to find out the status of my account. After the 3rd email, I did not receive any more responses.
This local Parsippany, NJ franchise has been very fustrating to deal with and I would not recommend this franchise due to the poor customer service. As of this date (the bags of records were collected 4/24/13), I have not received a DVD or letter (which was an additional request) that the material was shredded. I even filed a complaint with BBB.

The job went very well. I was not very sure about the work, but they were very discreet. I could stand there and watch everything being shredded. The price seemed fair to me for the work that they did; I had a lot to shred.

I was transferred to someone who could help me and he advised me that there was a free community shred service they would be doing the very next day at their site in Hawthorne (from 8-12) and it wouldn't cost a thing!! Not being very familiar with Hawthorne, I made sure to use my navigation which really came in handy.I arrived about 10 minutes early at their site but didn't see anyone. I found out that I was parked on the wrong side. Only 2 people were ahead of me and it only took a few minutes. I had a big plastic bag of documents which the worker tossed into the shredder and it was done in 5 seconds.
