They were very good. I am still using them. There were no issues scheduling an appointment with them. They were on time, professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very responsive. I don’t know how to compare the price.

Their technician did not thoroughly respond to our need & performed services that later needed to be corrected by another company. The owner did not respond to our request as he promised to do and sent the sub-par technician back to correct the problem. The staff on the phone is quite nice, but this cannot overcome the unprofessional and poorly skilled technician. No excuses for bad work.

I decided against proceeding with the job and paid $50. for service call. I then asked a neighbor for the name of a plumber. This plumber replaced the kitchen faucet for less than half the price of Aqueduct's quote. He repaired the bathroom fixtures (not replaced). The total bill was about $860, less than 1/4 of Aquaduct's estimate.

They were excellent. Since the work was done, there has been a noticeable change in the relative heat between the two floors of our house. The first floor is warmer; the second cooler and it is much, much more bearable. There was a slight problem with the one of the new valves leaking (because of contraction and expension of the new joint) and they responded immediately on a Sunday and took care of the problem. They also looked into another problem we had, and recommended against making any changes, even though to do otherwise would have made them money. We would definitely use them again. On one occasion, they were delayed because of an emergency call, and their office called us promptly to alert us to the delay.

Called them on a Monday, they answered right away and set up an appointment immediately that day, as this was an urgent situation and sewage was leaking into the basement and yard. Cindy, in the office, actually arranged to move things around so they could come first thing in the morning rather than later in the day, which was so appreciated! They arrived on time and diagnosed he problem immediately, and an hour later the problem was fixed. Clean up was excellent, like there was never a problem in the first place. It was an expensive repair, but I guess that's what these things go for? Anyway I would not hesitate to call on them again for their responsiveness and professionalism.

It was a sunday and the pipe in my basement had been leaking for 3 days, no heat, no hot water. I use a handyman, but his hours (nights only) were not working for me and he couldn't fix it anyway. I recently lost my husband and had NO idea what to do, so I looked on Angie's and found Aqueduct. And it was in Valhalla (I'm in NWP). And they had Sunday hours. I was willing to wait until Monday (to avoid extra cost), but when Debbie heard my story, she had her husband call me back and he insisted upon sending someone over that day. Manny showed up about 45 minutes later and I had my problem fixed by 4pm. And Manny showed me how to do a few things on my own for future reference. He's a very knowledgable and personable guy! I am so impressed with AQUEDUCT's compassion and professionalism. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Cindy scheduled promptly, kept me informed of delays due to emergency calls, rescheduled quickly. Eddie provided several options for work based on the urgency of the needed repair. Prices were firm not estimates. Materials were all top quality and workmanship was excellent. Very pleased with this family owned company. I will used them in the future. Update - working wth another plumber I realize that their prices were too high and the quality of the work was not as good as the new plumber I am working with.

The service was ok. They did what the Big Deal described. It was a pretty straight forward diagnostic service call, nothing spectacular.

After being left in the cold on 10/29/2014 by another company's tech who messed with my boiler wiring and walked out on me, I was searching on Angie's List for another company. Towards the end of a working day, when no other company was willing to send a tech over, Aqueduct Services came through for me. They sent an excellent tech Michael Barrant over, who was able to quickly identify the issue and resolve it. In all replaced one zone valve, air release valve, pressure/temp gauge and relay. He worked pretty much from 5:30pm till past 9pm, leaving one happy customer behind. My go-to company and tech for future heating, cooling and plumbing needs. Thank you for sending Mike over. In retrospect I am happy the other company tech walked out on me, otherwise I would not have found these nice folks. Thanks Ruzbeh

HVAC and Plumbing service is a tough business and every review should be taken with a grain of salt. Aqueduct Services seem to be my best experience so far when it comes to HVAC part (where my experience with them ranged from good to awesome, based on a few projects and preventative service programs). Another good thing is that the service is personable and you have office contacts to talk to (Cindy and Veronika), who are always professional and can get back to you if there is no instant answer. So, my A-marks for quality and professionalism are mostly based on that. Since a balanced review should be also about shortcomings, they re-schedule and arrive outside of allocated time slots a bit too often, in my opinion, as well as, pricing is not consistent across the board (some quotes I received seem to be very reasonable to start with, some were doubled numbers for no obvious reasons, mostly pertaining to plumbing). Emergency response was also not the best I have seen in the industry but since I have a newer home and very few of those, it did not much matter to me. I also expect if contractor comes to my house and breaks something in the process, they would take a full responsibility for it. This happened once and it took the owner's involvement to come to a fair resolution (which I am very grateful for but find the whole experience a little discouraging). Overall, I believe the company has strong sides and they remain my current HVAC and Plumbing services providers but I wish they made some improvements which would help to be an even better and bigger company!

Excellent, prompt, reliable and professional service from the entire team including owners, technicians, office staff. This was our second time using Aqueduct for a major job (previously installed new hot water heater). Highly recommend them.

Gentleman came to my house, did all the measurements, then sat with me as went over options. Very professional, prices were in range with others. Did not go with, but would suggest you get a quote from them, and I would consider doing business with them in the future.

They were good after we got the scheduling figured out.

The worker that came out was nice and explained things. He took his time, so that was good. He had to come back because a faucet stopped working. They said something might have happened to the faucet when they did the work. They said to replace it would cost over $500. We did our own research and found out there was a dirty part on the faucet. We cleaned it and in worked. So we saved $500 for something that didn't need to be done.

We have a contract with them. They have plumbing and heating contracts. I've been using them for almost 2 years. It was fine. They are very reliable and professional. They are a little pricey. If they are late, they do call to tell me.

Work was done quickly and professionally for an outrageous price. I live alone and am rarely able to be home during the week, and have had issues recently with several service providers not showing up when they said they would, so having this necessary repair done on a Saturday was compelling. Guy showed up when he was supposed to, looked at the eroded copper pipes and another small job that I was considering, and then said he would go outside and write up some different proposals. He came back 15 minutes later with a menu of possible options, all with very high numbers, including $300-400 for a very simple faucet repair which I quickly dismissed. My choices on the pipe "a la carte" were $767 to replace one section with 3 feet of PVC or $1,086 to replace 6 feet of PVC and use an existing hole that had been cut in the wall, rather than open a new hole in the ceiling. I swallowed hard and went with the higher quote, because I very badly wanted the repair taken care of and really didn't want to deal with a new ceiling repair. I thought it would take him longer than it did, so I felt that I would be paying a premium of a few hundred dollars in exchange for not having to find another plumber to show up on some other Saturday. He actually finished in less than an hour (not counting the time spent writing up all the possible combinations of services with different prices) and my estimate after-the-fact was that he used less than $100 worth of materials, so in hindsight it appears that I have now become one of those pitiful homeowners who gets "taken" for a very high price for a simple repair. To add insult to injury, I was distracted with something else at the time and forgot to give him the "$35.00 off any service" coupon I had printed out from Angie's List. A woman from their office called me a couple of days later to get my feedback on the service and asked whether I would use them again - a nice touch, but no, I would not, unless I suffer from temporary insanity again in the future.

This is the third time we've used Aqueduct Services for plumbing needs (one sump pump issue, one issue with a clogged sewer line, and this issue of a leaking sewer pipe). They are always professional, timely, and do a good job. In doing more research, I'm finding the pricing is quite high for the services rendered at our home and I found this particular job to be very expensive. However, in getting the job done right and their ability to get a tech to the home in a short time frame, it's worth the cost (especially in emergency or bad situations) in most situations for the piece of mind and customer service.

- Setup an appointment. Received a remider the day before. - The quickly assessed the issue and provided two alternatives, replace union or replace pipe. Replace union was $450 and pipe was $785. - After negotiating, the final price agreed was 668+tax for replacing pipe. - The technician said it would 3 hrs for two people to do, but turned out to be only 90 mins of two people's time. Overall- - A very professional service - very courteous and the technicians inspired confidence that they knew the issue Challenge: - EXTREMELY/PROHIBITIVELY expensive. If i do the math, assuming materials cost $100 ( which is more likely 25-50$) they charged over $250/hr for labor. - I have a new boiler and its setup for very easy draining just by attaching a hose. So was not a big deal at all. - Their was also a diagnose fee which was waived if I did get the job done of $79 which i was completely supportive off. but hoped that it helps them keep rates low so people just dont call them for quotes. - They did say that it includes warranty, which is not something i should pay extra, they should stand behind their work. I will use them, but will probably not be my first choice. given the very high rates. Most of the other quotes were in the 400-500 range. Decided to go with them because i was tired of getting different plumbers each with their own diagnosis.

Had a leaking elbow joint/bleeder valve in my baseboard heat in my bathroom. The field service manager showed up, took a look at the pipe, checked out the furnace and boiler system in the basement and basically agreed that, yes, the elbow joint and bleeder should be replaced. We're talking maybe 2 cuts and three inches of pipe. While examining my furnace, the field manager said they should or would need to put in a bleeder valve at the furnace. Well, no, I have 5 bleeder valves on the pipes throughout the house, so that's not a need. So, the field manager went out to his truck to work up a quote. He came back with a verbal price of $785 (his computer had gone down). I calmly said that was outrageous and wouldn't even entertain it. As I wrote the check to pay for the house call, the field manager explained that if I signed up for their customer service program for something like $8 bucks a month I'd get 15% off on the work. So at this point I've been given an unbelievable quote for a simple repair, declined an additional service for a valve I didn't need, and am now being sold on a yearly customer service plan. Had I sad yes to all of this I imagine my cost would have been somewhere between $1500 to $2000. An official quote was emailed to me the next morning. The price had been dropped to $657. This price was still beyond ridiculous. I purchased the elbow joint and bleeder valve myself the next day for $16. Another licensed plumber came and did the repair in just about an hour, as expected, and charged $200. I had contacted Aqueduct because a year ago they had given me a reasonable quote on a new furnace. Had I gotten a reasonable quote for this repair I more than likely would have gone right back to them to replace the furnace within the next year. Instead I was given a really ridiculous quote for a very simple and basic repair. In addition, an unnecessary repair was suggested and I was encouraged to sign up for some other service plan. Needless to say, I won't be considering Aqueduct for any service, and certainly won't recommend them to anyone.

Phone staff was courteous and scheduling was convenient. Techs arrived early within the given window (although I would prefer a phone call when they're on the way). They inspected plumbing throughout the house, made several recommendations for what work to do versus what to hold off on. Eddie explained several options. They commenced work immediately after my selection and completed everything within a few hours. Courteous, thorough, professional, punctual, knowledgeable and communicative throughout the process.

I contacted several plumbers (large companies and small guys) on the morning the leak occurred. Only Aqueduct was able to provide same day service with in a specific time band. The guys showed up ahead of schedule. Prior to agreeing to engage Aqueduct I checked with two local tradesmen who were familiar with this company and its services. Both stated that company would do solid work but were on the pricey side. Since I had a house full of guests for the week, I really did not have a choice and I had to proceed. The end result is that the U-bend leak was fixed and they also fixed the toilet problem (something that I added on since there were present at the house). As expected, the job was done well and the overall pricing structure was expensive. Details - Two individuals arrived at the house - perhaps that is part of what drove the pricing model. By the time the guys appeared, I had already partially opened the wall where the U-bend was. The problem could be clearly seen due to the gap which I created. Initially one of the guys tried to convince me that the problem was a block in my pipe to the sewer. I simply turned on my upstairs shower and showed the leak start and stop. The workman needed to cut another 3 in by 3 in hole to reach the U-bend comfortable. It took them all of ten minutes to cut and they charged me $142 for cutting a hole. Afterwards the cost of replacing the pipe was $402 for about 1.5 to 2 hours worth of work. Concurrently the toilet was repaired also for $109. Some where along the way, the marketing guy on this duo tried to offer me a pallet of "choices" on what could be repaired between the U-bend pipe and toilet. The price ranged from $402 - just fix the U-bend (shower trap) $511 - fix the U-bend plus replace toilet valve with old flap [ I selected this ] $754 - same as option 1 with minor tank rebuild $946 - same as option 1 with major tank rebuild When the bill was being written I asked whether the $142 "cutting fee" was included in any of the options. I was told YES. However when the bill was written, it was an incremental charge. It is not clear to me how they were going to fix the pipe without cutting away a portion of the wall. Also I FOUND the leak, not them . [ Miscommunication #1 ] At the end of the day, the guys knew their business; they worked quickly and efficiently. The workman also cleaned up the work area. I am just miffed about what I feel is an excessive $142 charge. Cheers,

I called them with the coupon I had. They came out and did a check and when they left, I found that my a/c was not working and I called them back and let them know the issue. After protesting, they came out and advised there was no Freon and they did resolve that issue. They also charged me $400.00 for a part but if I went with insurance through PSNG the part would have been covered.

The work went very well. They arrived on time, fixed the original issue, and were then able to look at another problem not spoken about at the time of the appointment, and they were able to quickly fix our outside hose water pipe as well.

Mathew arrived on time (after a call telling us he was on his way), presented his card to identify himself, put down his own doormat, put on his shoe-covers to protect our floors and went to work. He diagnosed the problem, gave us a range of options to fix the issue and fixed it per our selection. He was polite, professional and pleasant to have in the house, and had our AC back up and running quickly at a cost we could live with.

Overall, the Aqueduct Tech did a good job and was prompt; however, I did not appreciate him trying us- to see if we would go ahead replace the entire toilet for a job that took literally 10 mins. I thought that was a bit much, I was a little turned off after that. I also thought it was a little pricey for what was done.
