I called him March 24, 2015 to see if he was available for a job at my mother's house.  She has curling shingles. He got us an estimate back within 3 hours time.  He worked through the weekend (even Sunday) and finished on Tuesday March 31st. He is very punctual and dependable because he responded right away.

I don't feel he put any thought into the project - recommending shingles when everything else recommended a rubber roof. He said he'd do that if I really wanted it, but was going to use a flame thrower - not a good idea. He never did call me back with an estimate for the cedar shake repair, even though he said he'd get back to me that same day. Although pleasant, I felt he was unprofessional on the phone by talking to other people in the background. His work may be okay, but based on this experience, I wouldn't hire him.

When I called him he was here within a half hour. There was ice backed up on there so we don't?really know where it's leaking but hopefully this summer we'll take another look at it. He was very good and I liked his work. He came here and worked after the?first big snow we had ice back-up and I was getting leaks in other areas that had?never leaked before. I don't know what happened but we're going to take another look at it in the summer. I'm going up there with a hose to?see if?I can create it so I can find it and he can?take care of it. He did good work, they were very?prompt and they worked straight through from their start on a Monday and then finished on the next Monday or Tuesday. They worked straight through the weekend too. He did what I asked him and he did it well. The first winter, had a leak and they are refusing to fix a the problem that has ruined my floors. States it is not his problem. Second winter same problem. Third winter, same problem. The third summer I hired an independent contractor to come fix the issue, turns out it was the flashing on the roof that was not done correctly.

We were extremely pleased in dealing with Roscoe's in terms of courtesy, promptness, thoroughness, and price. We were also provided with a 5 yr guarantee on labor and lifetime on the roof. The quick repair that he provided prior to our leaving on vacation, and prior to when he could do the job, was the icing on the cake.

The representative showed up on time to give us an assessment and a verbal quote. He was professional and seemed very knowledgeable about roofing .Some time went by while we waited for estimates from other roofers. We then decided on Roscoe and requested a written estimate several times, but he never gave us one. The roofing issue was getting urgent, so we went with another roofer. I assume he got busy and didnt have time to do our job. The job would have been around $4,000.

Sal (the owner) was very professional and kept his word on all work. The crew showed up on time and were here every day before 7am until job was done. They cleaned up after themselves every day and piled and covered the material/tools. He completed his every thing in contract. He didn't require payment until job was done. I will use him again if I need any other work done.

Left phone message and never received return call.

Our experience with Sal Velardi was extremely satisfying. He was prompt, and thorough, not only in providing the quote, but in completing the job.
We should mention that in generating the quote, he actually got on the roof, as opposed to another provider who did it from ground level.
We were planning to leave on a 2 week vacation trip and mentioned that we had a leak in the roof around a vent flange. Sal made an extra trip to put a temporary fix on the flange before we left.
When we returned from our trip, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the work had been completed and that the area around the house was clean with no damage to shrubs or plantings.
We would highly recommend him.

I called about an estimate for roof repairs. He told me that he would come to look at the roof that morning and would call when he was on his way. We never heard from him and he did not show up to give us an estimate.

Sal and his group did a great job. They were here on time and worked steady. The clean up was perfect, and the Barn roof repairs were very satisfactory. Sal returned my phone call promptly, estimated same day and started the day after. Price was better than
other estimates I received, not the lowest but not the highest either, but I felt it was a fair price. New Roof and Barn Roof repairs were finished in less than 2 days, and all debris cleaned up.

I would gladly recommend Roscoe's Roofing, and have already done so.

Do get at least three estimates. Do not always go with the lowest estimate, but rather the best if you value your home. Ask around, family members, BBB, and check Angies List for a general idea of the reputation of the contractor you wish to hire.
