Well for the internet itself is needs to be faster, well sometimes I have to switch off the whole equipment so that it reboot and that is annoying, It could be faster, it's a slow moving before it starts.

No matter what I call about, they blame the issue of complaint on something other than optimum and always try to sell me more service as if I am not already paying too much. This time they claim to have a special services team for which I would pay an extra few hundred dollars to get this working, mine  you I am already paying for internet and they told me there would be  no guarantee or refund if they can't fix it. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Gets worse every few months. Now I just got an email that if I don't sign in to my optimum email for three months, they will delete the whole account. Why? It is as if they work and being annoying and of NO service. DOn't know that VIOS would be any better but ready to try.

We had issues from the very start. Had monthly service for about 8 mos now. It is inconsistent in quality with the occasional day of very exceptional service. For the most part however, every time we wanted to use the internet we had difficulty with speed or connectivity in general. At first, they said it was a physical issue with the area which they were in the process of fixing. They gave us a reimbursement for some of the time which we had nearly no service, but it didn't hardly cover the time realistically. The problem was not fixed and they eventually sent a tech out. This did not fix the problem either and they said they would follow up with me, setting up a phone appointment. I waited and waited and they never called! I am so dissatisfied that I have moved to a new internet and phone provider without these issues. Also, they said it was our responsibility to get adapters so that we would be able to stream internet content at a reasonable pace on our non-5G compatible devices. Our online movie streaming service was rendered useless due to this. One of our devices was only one year old, and another device was apparently problematic due to its BRAND! (And it was a very prominent brand too).

They are the only service available in my area.  I've been using them for over two years now.  I can't stand them.  The entire service is lousy, their packaging is lousy.  They customer service is lousy...everything about them.  Their rates are astronomical; when you compare them to other programs for what you are getting once your yearly package with them expires everything balloons almost double from what the yearly rate is.  They hassle you into being able to sign up something comparable.  It is not worth getting into an argument with them over the phone and unfortunately where I live I have no other options other than satellite service and that leads me to an issue with my internet service.

I do not like their services. The TV always has a problem and they keep sending people and one person is more incompetent the other. They keep blaming the previous technician for making it worse. This has gone about 5 or 6 times. They cannot get it right. The smart TV stopped working and they told me it was because we moved it far away from the router. Yet there are others that are far away but still receive the signal. They are pretty expensive. They always come out and they are very pleasant. They show up on time. They are also bright and professional.

They are OK it's satisfactory. If they are a storm they do pretty good and it's not a big of an issue like in the past. They fixed all the cable wire in a timely manner.

I am not happy with them but I cannot switch because I would have to switch my internet and everything. They are very expensive, and they are not good. You are paying for things that you don't use and you don't have options to get out. Hopefully now that companies are selling their service over the internet, people may leave them. They do provide service when you call them, it is just that they could care less. They are decent about keeping their appointment, they are just last minute, if they give you a window, they will come during the last 5 minutes of the window. They don't always send the best guy for what they think is a standard job. We have had to change their equipment a couple of times. All their equipment is middle of the road.

Well the first year was great, I was only paying 84.00 per month for both cable and internet. After the 12 months was up, my bill jumped to 130.00, for the same exact service. The first time I called to ask if there was a way to reduce my bill the rep simply told me that there was nothing they could do for me at that time. So I started shopping around, but the location of my residence limits me on what services are available to me, so my options were minimal. So I gave them a call back and the second rep was much more helpful, he lowered my payments to 116.00, and he threw in free access to showtime, encore and starz programming. So I decided to stay with optimum, but if I had more choices available I would definitely try to switch, not because the service is bad but just for the simple act of saving money.

It's always there when you want to watch television and you can do adjustments when you are at work or late at night. We have been using them for years. We enjoy their service and we like them. Browsing from the internet is quick. We have good selections of channels to choose from.

They're the worst and they're horrible because, from time to time, I will go and pick up the phone and it's dead. There's no dial tone then I noticed that the phone didn't ring all day which is not normal so, I get on my cellphone and I have to call them. You have to listen to a series of menus and none of which can help you. You just have to hit 1, tell that person your problem and then they connect you to where you should be but they never tell you what the problem is. They just say, "We'll see if we can fix it from here." So I give them my cellphone number to call me back when the problem is solved and they'll call back and just tell you, "Oh well, why don't you check your modem and why don't you reboot." And I said, "Look, I'm not a technician okay? And if I had a choice, I don't want a dish on my house." I don't like them and I'm not the only one. I don't think they do a very good job at all for the money that I pay every month and I'm not happy with them. The internet is slow that it's almost like a dial-up service then they come in with their little testers and they say, "Oh no, your speed is fine." And I'm like, "Oh c'mon." I know a little bit about computers but I've worked on them long enough and their service is terrible. With the cable, I get the channels that I want to see so there's no problem there but if I had a choice, I would not use them.

Good service. Even though they somehow force you to sign a contract for one or two years. Nothing out of ordinary, if you do not want a contract , they request more , which is understandable because it's the nature of the business.

I have been using them for about 28 years. It cost to much. The phone service is good and the TV is okay. Their people are very good, if I have a problem, I can call and the people are well informed. Rarely do I have a problem. The service is good. I will continue to use them because I am stuck with them.

They come through Cable Vision. We have call waiting but we don't use it. The internet service is pretty fast. We have pretty good selection of channels. I'm waiting a tech guy to come because the TV hasn't been working for 2 days. It probably has to do with the weather. But before that, there were no problems to speak of. The customer service has been very helpful in trying to get someone out quickly. In fact, they were gonna do it the other day but I couldn't make that.

I probably have everything they offer other than Pornography because at my age, I am not interested. The internet service is pretty good. I have had some problems. When we were doing the generator in the house, we had to shut electricity for a while and when we put the electricity back on, everything worked but my telephone. We couldn't figure out why, we called them up and they had a service man here on a Sunday and the whole thing was a matter of just resetting my modem. He came; he showed me how to do it, so in case we lose the phone again, I know what to do. They followed up but they charge for a service call. In one DVR, I can record ten things at once and in the other one; I can record up to two things at once. For the landline, I have caller ID, call waiting, I have a fax machine hooked up to it and everything works fine. I am paying for three different lines which is why my price so high. I pay for the highest speed for the internet, so I pay for that too which is also my price. I use phones and internet for my business so that is important for me. They are good but if I had negotiated a bit more, I could have got a better price. The quality of service is excellent. Where my house is located, about seventy blocks from me, is the Cable Vision office, so if I have problem with one of my cable boxes, I unplug it, take it up there and they give me a new box. They don't give you a specific time for a service call, they say anytime between eleven and two and they could arrive at eleven, or at two, or any time in between but they show up when they say they are going to. Every time I have had a service person here, he has been very professional.

First issue was being forced by Gables and 1000 Jefferson into only having Cablevision as my provider. No other provider is allowed into the building which reeks of monopoly and collusion. but this simple review is for the service itself.
Installation was fine even though it was delayed a couple times due to scheduling issues on their end. biggest complaint was the service itself. Completely dated guide and interface. Looked more like Atari pong than a 2013 cable service. Internet was constantly on/off so streaming of live content was not possible as the wifi wasn't reliable.
The customer service reps at the Union City office were great though when I went to close out the account. I wish the entire experience was as good as the last 10 minutes I was their customer.
That said, if it at all possible, I would avoid using Cablevision/Optimum.

Their price constantly changes. My one big complaint with them is that their customers that are true loyal customers never get the breaks. They always have the discounts for new customers. Their internet service is fast. They have a pretty good selection of TV shows to watch if you want to pay for it.
