 + -1 moreIt went extremely well. All the repairs were done to perfection. My porch is crisp and new and beautiful. The workmanship is perfect and it all flows with the vintage nature of my home. Juan had previously done small jobs around my house such as replacing doors, building shelving, etc. When I was planning the exterior paint job, I asked Juan to do the extensive repairs for me and he did. As above, he inspected the house for all decaying areas and replaced stairs, railings, columns, an entire porch and the sub-flooring, and hand-built 8 huge columns so that they were replicas of the original architecture of this period home. Juan and his men are prompt, hard-working professionals. They came when they said they would and finished when they said they would. Juan is very approachable and listened to all my concerns and then gave me his professional opinion on each facet of this project. Everything turned out beautifully.
Description of Work: Juan Ramirez and his team repaired multiple areas of decayed wood on my home prior to having it painted. This included: rebuilding/replacing bases of tall wooden columns, replacing exterior stairs, building railings and balconies, removing a nearly 100 year-old porch and completely rebuilding the floor. Juan also rebuilt 8 columns to completely match the original style and design of the rotted columns so that the porch would remain true and authentic to the history of the home. Juan added balcony railings to two floors of the home and assisted me with the design so that it matched the existing railings around the home. He is an excellent carpenter and builder.
