I was doing construction in my home prior to sandy, Thank goodness none of the cabinets were damaged during the hurricane. We had damage in the basement and outside but the main level was untouched. I mention sandy because it was a horrific time for my community, and for myself , but this experience was definitely the silver lining in the time i truly needed it.
The owner Giuseppe came in and measured, even suggested an upper eating counter to maximize the space without invading the living room. Was so brilliant an idea, i never would have imagined that.
The care they took laying out the material i chose to highlight the areas of the granite i loved was fantastic and came beautiful.
The owner was present for the measure and for the installation.
The team of installers , consisting of his sons, were meticulously clean and efficient as well as charming. It's not everyday you get a true family business that doesn't subcontract the work.
I was thrilled with the work, have sung their praises to everyone i know to keep a place like this thriving.

BEWARE OF GT MARBLE! Our transaction/relationship with GT Marble started out beautifully but ended in disaster. What a disappointment?
On the same day our Carrara slab was delivered to GT Marble for fabrication, I went to look it over and approve the piece. I looked over the piece and marked out where the slab should be cut. Fortunately I took pictures of the slab before I left. On the day of install, while the men, which included the owner of the company, or at least one of the owners, were taking the slab off the truck, my husband noticed dark smudge marks on a couple of areas. They looked like dirty fingerprint marks. My husband assumed it was just dirt and figured they would wipe them away after installing the piece. When they did not do that my husband pointed them out to the owner and the owner brushed it off saying that they were natural marks. Later in the evening when the lighting had changed these marks looked terrible!! They were hideous and clearly not natural. We compared the slab they installed with pictures I had taken in their warehouse, and of course those hideous marks were not in the pictures. Of course I knew they wouldn't be because I would not have approved this slab with the marks on it in the first place. There were also nicks in all the smudges. It looked like the piece was damaged and they left these smudges while trying to disguise the nicks.
TWe called GT Marble that same night and requested that they return and look at these marks. They emailed us the following day and let us know that at THEIR earliest convenience they would come by to look at the piece and see if they could make the marks less noticeable. The email also stated that if they had to make a special trip it would cost us $200, which they didn't end up charging us in the end because I guess they realized that it would be ridiculous to charge us for their error. Anyway, after not hearing from them for over a week I called to say that they MUST come and take care of this. They showed no concern at all. They were annoyed. They completely took their time returning emails. They would not return calls. They would only communicate through emails at this point. They finally came back 2 weeks and 1 day after the initial install to look at the piece. When they came in the owner was rude and dismissive towards me. I tried to explain that the marks could not be natural like he tried to convince my husband, and I offered to show him my pictures but he interrupted me and spoke to the other two men he came with in Italian. I do not speak Italian. I have no idea what they were saying but I could tell they were extremely annoyed that they had to come back to fix THEIR MISTAKE. I also pointed out the nicks and the owner told me he "knew what I was saying" and brushed me off, annoyed. They scratched out the dark marks with something they said was a little stronger than steel wool. I was happy to see the marks gone. They rushed out with no apologies for the inconvenience. Of course things were still not great. When I looked at the slab from the other side of the room I could see several areas of scratches they left while taking out the dark marks. Big circular scratches in all the spots they worked on. I immediately called GT and left a message. Within 5 minutes the owner called me and said, "what's the problem now?" I told him about the scratches and asked if there was anything I could do to get rid of them because they are very obvious. His response?. "they will fade over time". Wow...Unbelievable! My husband and I are so tired of dealing with GT and their unprofessionalism. I don't even want them returning to fix the scratches. I don't want to have to deal with the attitude again. Once they got their money they could care less about the job they had done. I would not recommend this company to anyone. So unprofessional. No matter who you use, inspect the piece several times over before the installers walkout your door. We learned the hard way. The marble piece we now have to live with in the middle of our kitchen is so disappointing. The scratches really stick out in a certain light. It looks like a poor quality, second hand piece of marble. We are having another company come in to fix what GT Marble refused to do. I just don't want to have to deal with them again. It was a nightmare. Save yourself the stress, headache and disappointment and avoid this company.

My overall experience with them was very good. They were very professional. The girl that took care of me when I went there was very good. Everybody there was really nice. I got what I paid for.
