George Semonite Asphalt Paving

We had a retaining wall in front of our house rebuilt, and needed to have the adjacent parking area repaved.  Our number one concern, which my husband and I communicated to the owner and his son, together and individually, was that the asphalt needed to be laid so that water run to the drain we had just had installed.  We live at the bottom of a hill and get a lot of water coming at our house during rainstorms.  As the crew was finishing, I started sprinkling water on the parking area.  The majority of the water was running down our steps, going no where near the drain.  The son worked to gouge a channel to the drain, and told his father four times to go home.  The channel works a little but water still pours downs the steps.  The owner/father ran to the bank, because when we tried to stop payment on the check 20 minutes later, it had already been cashed.  In a subsequent phone conversation, the owner said he would come to fix the problem, but he didn't show up.  I will provide follow-up if they try to fix the problem, but the main issue is that the job was not done correctly from the start.
