Ed Meyer Painting

This painter is SLIME!!! He runs his business as "Ed and Tanner Meyer Painting". He is out of Greeneville, NY. Ed slaves his 15 year old son on the jobs. He has NO INSURANCE and has this young boy on poorly supported high scaffolds doing the work.  Total accident and law suit waiting to happen! He wants CASH only and will tell you what you want to hear to get the job and your money. He only put one coat of paint on the ceilings and walls...you can see right through the paint. When paid in full, he promised to come back to touch up the work. When I told him the paint was overtly thin, he said that " I only quoted you for one coat". Now what kind of painter does one coat? It's standard to do 2 coats.  You paint until it's covered!!! He will not return any phone calls and now I have to pay someone else to redo his job that he was paid for.
 Now I have no legal recourse because he did the job cash. All I have is Angie's list and some photos of his son on the scaffolding so I can report him to the Labor Department and the IRS for auditing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JERK!!! HE MAKES UP RULES AS HE GOES ALONG AND WILL TOTALLY SCREW YOU OVER!!! He is also very rough around the edges and confrontational. As soon as you tell him something is wrong, he becomes mean and makes excuses for his poorly done work. BEWARE!!! This guy is BAD NEWS!
