De Rosa CONSTRUCTION

Gave a small deposit and the owner Mattia DeRosa said he would have the work done by Thanksgiving which was in 4 weeks. Even if it was only started that would have been fine but he never called us back and when we called he said he couldn't do it that month. We decided to wait to have the work done since we didn't want the work done in the freezing temperatures. We asked for our money back and he has been very difficult, says he's busy and that he'll send it when he has time. He cashed our check within 24 hours of receiving it. When we finally got him on the phone again he keeps trying to get us to keep him to do the work in the spring but we don't trust him since he lied and misrepresented his being able to do the work in a specific time frame. We now suspect he goes around collecting deposits and deliberately pocketing it knowing how difficult it can be for a consumer to force him to give it back. There was no formally signed contract he wrote his price on the back of his business card and we should have known better. We got his name from a neighbor who used him years before and never expected this bad behavior from a local contractor. DO NOT USE DEROSA CONSTRUCTION.

spoke to Matteo the owner picked pavers and design, then him and his crew went to work and turned my old 1950's 4 foot stoop into a gorgeous 9 foot stoop with blue stone and paver walkway to driveway. the owner matteo was here doing all the work with his men so that was very important to me this man and his crew take pride in their work every day they cleaned up me and my wife couldn't be happier with the finished project, i have pictures before and after if i can learn how to put them on here...
