The technician looked at the refrigerator and determined that the electronic control board was defective and needed to be replaced. The technician told me that I would be contacted the following day with the cost of the electronic control board that needed to be replaced. I paid $96.68 for the service call. The following day, provider told me that the electronic control board for this model was "discontinued" and therefore, needed to be rebuilt. I was told that it would take three weeks and cost $777.00.
I found it odd that a major part of an appliance for a major refrigerator company was not being made anymore, leaving anyone with this model completely helpless. I then contacted Kitchen Aide directly. They identified the part number and put me in contact with a distributor in my area. I purchased the part (NEW) and it was installed in three days. The cost of the new part was $351.76.
When I called the provider to tell them I found a new part immediately, no explanation was given. This provider either lied to me or was incompetent. The provider tried to take my defective part, have me go three weeks without a refrigerator, and charge me more than double for a "rebuilt" part vs. a new part.
Stay away from Cor-Jus Enterprises Appliance and Repair Service.
- The owner was rude, abrasive, heartless and disrespectful treating me, the client, as though I was some stupid young thing with money to burn because I live on the Upper East Side of NYC. As a result, he spoke to me like I was a dummy, did the work, acted like he was doing me the favor. My refrigerator does not work very well after he finished but I had endured because it is so very expensive to have technicians come in. He assured me that if I kept my coils cleaned and he would come back each year to do it (for a fee), everything would be great. Guess what? You should have done it for us while you are already out here. It's call Customer Service. Fool me once, shame on you. Food me twice, shame on me. I would not recommend this company.

He works by himself and he is the owner, so it wasn't just a bad employee in a big company. There is also a lady who sometimes picks up the phone but she can't help other than say she will pass him a note. Long story short, find another one, there are a lot of services for BOSCH and other major appliance brands.
The next day the fridge temp had gotten down to 50 degrees but we have decided to get a new fridge instead of putting the money into this one (it's over 20 years old).
I appreciated that Joe tried the gas first and did not try and sell me a new compressor right off the bat. He was professional and efficient but you could also tell that he doesn't suffer fools gladly!
