My husband and I explained to the vet that the puppy just arrived the day before and he went through quite stress traveling on the plane from Midwest to New York. Our puppy was already vaccinated with rabies and other vaccinations he needed at that time. However, the vet insisted to inject our puppy Bordetella vaccine (kennel couch). As being the first time a dog owner, we didn't know what else to do or say to the vet besides listening to his advice. He was scaring us about how horrible kennel cough could be when a dog is infected with it. Thus, my puppy got Bordetella vaccine. On that late afternoon, my puppy got really sick. He was weak and couldn't move. He was unable to eat food. I was in panick. I thought we were going to lose him. I called the vet but there was only an answering matching. Then, I called and talked to the bleeder. She suggested to give him 4 doses of nutrical, giving one dose every 15 minutes. She said his sugar level might have been very low. She said after an hour if he was still weak, I needed to take him to ER. After giving the puppy 4 doses of nutrical, he was able to get some strength to get up from his bed. However, it took a few weeks for our puppy to regain all the strengths and himself. The vet did not have to give our puppy Bordetella. He wanted to do it so he could charge us that fee. One of my friends recommended me to request the office to refund the fee we paid for. I did listen to that suggestion and went back to the vet office. I explained and complained that the vet almost killed my puppy. Then, the office gave me the refund. I will never take my dogs there again. I would not recommend the vet office to anyone either. They only care about how much they could charge to a pet owner. They don't really care about pets/animals.

My 15-year old cat stopped eating. A difficult diagnosis - kudos to Dr Meglino for his excellent diagnosis skills - determined a mass on the liver. Cancer was initially suspected. Surgery was performed by a specialist who was able to remove the entire mass. Analysis of the mass proved it to be benign.
Pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care were all excellent. The entire transaction was handled with sensitivity and professionalism. Dr. Meglino took the time to answer all my questions in several conversations which ultimately led to  the right decision being made to perform the surgery. My cat recovered very quickly - as predicted. It only took her 4 days to return to a completely normal routine: eating, eliminating, playing. She is still going strong today, 9 months later. Dr. Meglino followed up regularly for several weeks after the surgery.
The price for the type of surgery is reasonable for the area (greater NYC).

We are very happy with Dr. Meglino and Dr. Diaz. They are just wonderful. They did a very good job with our dog. They are very professional and compassionate. I will always be grateful of them. They have a estate of the art hospital and technology. Their services are really good. I was very pleased with their service and staff.

I would definitely recommend them to others. They will do everything possible to make sure the animal is taken care of. They recognize that pets are a part of your family. It is like taking your child to the pediatrician. They are very caring and dedicated. They are very supportive and loving. I had to put a cat down and they walked me through the process, sent me condolences, and checked up on me. They were phenomenal.

We've been with this vet (Dr. Meglina) and hospital for 10+ years and through 4 cats, from kitten to senior. They handle all questions, concerns and fears with professionalism and compassion. Our eldest female has been exhibiting strange behavior including not eating, which could meant further complications with her current diabetes condition. The hospital explained all tests and associated costs before proceeding. They handled our cat gently while going through the checklist. No tumors were detected. They administered fluids and released her, with the process establishing a base-line to measure future ailments against. She is doing much better and our questions were answered.
