Flavio and his associate were excellent in fixing my very squeaky indoor stairs. His communication was clear and he came the next day to see the issue and assess how to fix it. He gave me a quote via text later that day and once we agreed on the work, he came back the following day to do the work. They had to be completely ripped up, including the banisters because the stairs could not be accessed and secured from underneath. He laid some interior wood, nails and glue inside each step and then put it all back together. The stairs are very quiet now and even seem sturdier. Very please with that work and promptness!

Flavio and his team were great. They understood what we wanted the stairs to our finished basement to be: simple and elegant. There were problems of space to overcome and the final design and work solved these problems and vastly improved the value of the home.

Called Flavio for a quote, He requested pictures and I take measurements. sent him the info. everything he asked for, then he just ignored me. no quote. sent him a text asking him are still interested in the job. not even the courtesy to respond yes or no. Avoid this guy at all costs, don't waste your time. hired another carpenter on thumbtack, responded right away, came and looked a the job, quoted it right away and did the job within 3 days. AVOID FLAVIO AT ALL COSTS. DON'T WASTE YOURE TIME.

The house is 100 years old and they did a phenomenal job repairing and matching the materials and color of the rest of the staircase. Highly recommend these guys, they went above and beyond to do their best work. 10 out of 10!

This Is the second project Flavio has done for me. He is terrific to work with, very conscientious and a highly skilled carpenter. Great attention to detail and a creative problem solver. We needed non-standard cabinet sizes to maximize storage space in one of the bathrooms and he custom built the cabinets. Great communication on the little details. He is a pleasure to work with and his work looks great.

The work was well done. Flavio even finished the project ahead of schedule. I am scheduling to use New York Carpentry for other projects.

Flavio and his helper did a great job installing several new solid core interior doors and baseboard. I live in an old house that has door frames that are out of level and out of plumb. I elected to have slab doors installed to save money. Flavio was able to expertly cut and install 7 doors so that they all open and close perfectly and there are even gaps all the way around. He also installed brand new baseboards on the entire second level matching the baseboard from the downstairs which had previously been replaced as part of a remodel.

Showed up on time. Did a nice job replacing my window. Clean and quick.

Working with Flavio has been wonderful! He is a fantastic craftsman and a true professional -- not to mention kind -- and you can feel the care that goes into his work. He and his teammate Denis were a pleasure to work with. From the first time we reached out to him, he was very responsive in answering our (many) questions! We had a number of doors that we wanted to replace (both interior and exterior), as well as a few storm doors to be replaced. He also re-installed our front door after we discovered that the person who had initially installed it did not ensure it was plumb. This was a complex job which he did with great care and efficiency, ensuring that no detail was missed (as an example, he noted that when the door was re-installed, the door sweep was just barely making contact with the door sill, so he replaced it with a taller door sweep to ensure a tight seal). They finished the front door with a beautiful high gloss paint which was done meticulously! Unlike previous searches for contractors (referrals through family or friends), we found Flavio through reviews on Angie's List, and he is by far the most talented and best contractor that we've ever worked with! We're so grateful to have met him, and are looking forward to working with him on a number of projects in the coming months. He absolutely lives up to -- and truly exceeds -- his stellar reputation. Now we can't imagine working with anyone else!

Beautiful! Flavio has been helping me with projects for more than a year now. He always does exceptional work with an eye for detail AND he’s so neat! You’d barely realize he’s been there! Flavio gave me a quote for the work and was able to work my two days into his schedule. He sanded and repainted my railings, and then sanded and repainted my wood-frame windows (also recalling them). The next day, he came back to do the walkway. And then he came BACK two hours later when the weather report threatened rain. He covered the masonry with plastic and called the next day to ask how it held up. He really cares about his work, and I felt cared for in the process. Thanks to Flavio, my house again has curb appeal!
