Keith was very responsive. They arrived the day after they fell. Cut them up into long lengths so my contractor could hall them away to be milled. The tree tops and debris was all put in a large chipper and they gave me the mulch and put it where I asked them to. All in all it was a excellent experience and I would highly recommend them. I thought I would have a lot of clean up but I had none. Thank you to everyone at limb walker!

We actually hired Limbwalker 3 times: 11/06, 4/07, 6/08 and will be having Keith back in a month to remove more dead trees. The services cost $432, $1076, and $972, as it depended on how many trees, and the clearance for removing them.
Keith and his assistants were skillful, professional and efficient. Keith is a font of knowledge and seems passionate about trees--he actually does not like to cut them down unnecessarily (though is not pushy about it) so advised us on what we absolutely needed to remove (for safety).
I searched around before hiring Keith and still find he's the most reasonable. I highly recommend Limbwalker

A large limb had fallen from an old oak tree in the driveway above our lake
property. Keith responded quickly to the call on June 11, 2013. He deemed
it an emergency situation in addition to a Basswood at lake level that was
potentially leaning towards the house. Due to the seriousness of the situation,
we agreed to go ahead ASAP. My husband said he could do some clean up.
The team arrived on June 12th, Keith climbed, cut and dropped the trunk,
limbs and branches on the lake level and left at noon. Some branches were
thrown into the wooded area at the driveway. The climbing and cutting
were done skillfully, but what and where things landed had not enough
forethought or professionalism.
On June 13th I called Keith for help, realizing there was no way two 70 year olds
could clean up what was left. He informed me I could have anything for
which I was willing to pay. When I asked for my options, he suggested he could
have used the bucket to remove the oak to the drive above and maybe we could have
called NYSEG to help with the basswood since it was on the power lines. Now he could get a
barge to haul it to a chipper. When I asked for his PROFESSIONAL advise and estimate for the
situation we had NOW, he said he would get back to me. One week later, he
left a message that the barge could cost $1500 or $1800 with skids and with the
clean up probably about $4000. No, $4400 and he could do it in a month or so. I want to
point out here that this mess is all on about 50 feet of lakefront.
Keith was skillful climbing and swinging his saw and the branches but outside of the
initial felling work he was completely unprofessional and unhelpful. Not only
did we not have any idea what we were getting in to, it is obvious to me that he, too, had no clear
picture at the time he started of what would have been the best way to have
done the job.

They were prompt, professional, friendly, did almost no damage to the lawn, and no damage at all to the steps. They also did a good job of grinding out the stump. We asked to keep part of the tree and they were very pleasant about it, cutting it up as we asked and promptly clearing the debris and unwanted wood away.
They also did a good job removing dangerous limbs from behind the Ellis Hollow Community Center, and charged a very reasonable rate for that job (I'm involved with the Center).

They were really helpful. I didn't know how to deal with this tree in her backyard that was overhanging her house. One of the people I spoke to said we can cut it down, but it would cost a lot. However, Limbwalker Tree Care Llc said we can reduce the canopy and they did it for a very reasonable price. They did it and it worked. They were friendly, punctual, and they didn't try to sell me something that I didn't have to have.

Came out soon after I called to assess what was needed. Said he might be able to swing by on way back and forth to other jobs in the next week or so. I was especially concerned about a dead branch hanging over the backyard deck and wanted it removed as soon as possible. Did not give me an estimate; I assumed it was something that could and and would be taken care of relatively quickly. I emailed after one week to ask when we might expect the service, as we were leaving town soon and were uncomfortable about going outside because of concern that the branch might fall (a neighbor's tree branch fell down a day before). Didn't come until almost 3 weeks after the initial visit, unannounced (I had requested a heads up by phone), with two other guys. Did the work, but with little regard for underlying plants--guys trampled on perennials and their ropes fell on plants in deck pots. Also dropped (not lowered) a large limb onto ground that created a four-inch hole in the lawn and fell onto a copper trellis, irreparably denting the structure and destroying a clematis vine. The company owner, who did the work, claimed he did not see the structure "because it was all brown." After they were done, one of his guys practiced climbing on one of the large trees. Was also surprised by the high fee for the service/time required but I should have demanded an estimate.

They showed up on time, were careful, cleaned up, and finished the job. All in all a very positive experience. We will be calling them for our future tree service needs.
