MKC Kitchen Cabinets Inc.

I gave them a $1,000 deposit on a counter top in Feb 2017. Found out a few weeks later that they could not do the template until mid August. Once template was done it would be another 6 weeks to make the counter. I cancelled the order and requested my $1,000 dollar deposit. I went with another company who completed the entire job by May 2016.

I can not say enough about how wonderful they were. They took down all the cabinets. They took down some of the walls. They removed the sink. They did everything. They redid the ceiling, the walls and molding. They put up new cabinets. They redesigned the kitchen with a much better design. They extended the island. They put in new counter tops. They did the electricity and plumbing. I would recommend them to anybody! They would get A+ if I could.Their work is meticulous. I would definitely use them again. They really cared. I had picked out a counter top and I was talking to one of the owners, Pam, and told her what I was doing with the kitchen. I had pick a Cabrera counter top, which is not cheap. She called me back a couple days later and said she had gone to a party and they had the counter top you asked for and I don't think it's what you want. There is a lot of blue in it. I wanted the kitchen red. If she had not called me and just ordered it, what would I have done? When I picked out the cabinets, I had to pick out the wood, the style, the finish and the color. So I did all of that and Pam says to me, here's a door in exactly what you want, take this home and leave it in your kitchen. Look at it all day long. Inside of 12 hours I hated it. In my kitchen it looked totally different. It has to do with the lighting and time of day. It just wasn't what I wanted. Because she let me take that home, I was able to change my mind. A lot of people don't do that. Mike, the other owner, gave me his cell phone number. About a year later, I couldn't get one of the cabinet drawers to close. I called Mike. He came over on his lunch hour removed the cabinet, took the spice out that was blocking the drawer, and put the cabinet back in. There was no time delay as the project was going on. No time was wasted anywhere.

I was talking to Pam about what I was doing with the kitchen. It's a Cambria countertop, which is not cheap. She called me back a couple of days later and she said, “I went to a party last night and they had the counter top that you asked for. I don’t think it’s what you want!” I said, what do you mean?” She said, “There’s a lot of blue in it!” I wanted the kitchen red. If she had not called me and just ordered it, what would I have done? I would have had to swallow the cost. When I picked out the cabinets, I had to pick out the style of the cabinet, the wood I wanted on the cabinets, the finish I wanted on the cabinet and the color. I did all of that and again Pam says to me, “that sounds really nice, here’s a door in exactly what you want. Take this home, put it in your kitchen, look at it all day long.” Well, inside of 12 hours I hated it. In my kitchen, it looked totally different. It has to do with the lighting, the time of day, it’s just, it isn’t what I wanted. Because, she was she let me take that home I was able to change my mind. A lot of people don’t do that. They were fantastic, I can’t say enough about them. They timed everything so like when you are having a new garbage disposal put in, you need an electrician & a plumber. As the plumber was walking out, the electrician was walking in. There was no time delay at all, there was no time wasted anywhere. I would recommend them.

MKC Kitchens did an outstanding job with our kitchen redesign. I can't speak highly enough of their professionalism, creativity and extraordinary attention to detail. They were with us every step of the way from planning to completion and always exceeded our expectations. Pam was invaluable in helping us make all the decisions about design. She was super easy to communicate with and worked closely with our contractor. When there was a problem with a supplier, she took care of the problem quickly and effectively. Any construction is stressful, but with Pam on the case, everything went smoothly and I had no worries. I am very grateful to her for taking my vague ideas and turning them into my dream kitchen. In fact, I so enjoyed working with Pam, that I almost wish I had another kitchen to redesign! I highly recommend them.

Communication with Lauren and Pam was top notch - always available to answer our tons of questions and concerns. Lauren was extremely helpful with designing the kitchen layout and helping us decide on colors and cabinets and finishes etc.. Mike and his team showed up nice and early each day to work and cleaned up at the end of each day. We love our new kitchen - the quality is excellent!! We would highly recommend MKC Kitchens to anyone looking for work done to their kitchen!

The project went amazing well! From the start we were impressed with the knowledgeable design staff, that asked us questions about not only the things we wanted in our kitchen, but also informed us of the many options and add-ons we would never have thought of. We were able to see 3-D plans of the new kitchen design from every angle and found the staff very patient whenever we decided to make a change in plans.  The work was scheduled and started on time.  Every day the workers  showed up on time and worked professionally throughout the day; cleaning the job site at the end of the day.  MKC coordinated all the contractors (drywall, electrician, plumber, flooring, counter) in a timely manner.  We are extremely happy with our new kitchen.  The cabinets are of the highest quality as is the counter top and flooring.  Would gladly recommend MKC to anyone.

It came out beautiful and as expected.  Pam, Owner and her staff first worked with me first on the design of the bathroom.  I wanted to make it look bigger and usable from the 1970 bathroom I had.  Part of the shower wall was taken done to make room for a glass door.  The tiny sink by the door was moved to next to the shower where I now have a regular sized pedestal sink.  The tile work was done in a pattern to make the bathroom look larger.  Mike, Owner and his staff worked hard and I now have a usable shower and a "larger" bathroom.    This is the second time I have used MKC Kitchens.  They also installed a tiled backsplash to my kitchen and coordinated the installation of my Quartz countertop.  Again that work was done perfectly and to my satisfaction.

They're very organized, extremely responsive to any concern I had and lots of help with the design...they re-designed the layout.  When it came to choosing cabinets, matching granites; they're very helpful with what was probably a better choice meaning not to try selling me expensive cabinets but tell me something that was certainly would be useful for my purpose.  They made my kitchen very efficient.  Couple little problem in the installation but they came back and made the adjustment.  I was getting ready to go on a trip and they were very prompt and they were trying to get the majority of my installation before my trip and so they certainly came back and finished up.  I was very pleased.  I really don't have price comparison.  I'm planning a year from now or so doing my bathroom and I would definitely use them again.

Pam at mkc is an amazing kitchen designer. i researched my kitchen reno for about 1 1/2 years before making a decision. i am very particular but had a small budget which makes everything more difficult. i talked to and got quotes from 9 different kitchen places before finalizing my order. Pam was the best kitchen designer by far. she is responsive to questions, well informed, pleasant, accommodating and was willing to rework the design many times to work within our budget. she is a great source of design information as well and never makes you feel as if you are wasting her time. we had MKC do the install as well and they were timely, professional and did an excellent job. there were a few issues with shipping damage to the cabinets and Pam has been wonderful in getting all of that fixed as well. Pam really is someone who goes above and beyond for her customers. she and her husband, Michael, are the owners and want to be sure that their clients are happy. it is rare to find that level of dedication to customer service anymore especially for a small budget kitchen reno. i would highly recommend MKC for any kitchen project.

Negotiating the contract was a slow process, but once the work was agreed on and scheduled, it was done quickly and well.  They worked on the sink area first, so we were not without it's use for long at all.  MKC is RRP certified,so they can safely work with lead paint.  After the sink area, they worked on replacing the built-in cabinets and the laundry access panel.  The whole job was finished in one week (5 work days).  We are very pleased.  They even hooked back up our washer-dryer combo unit after doing the work in the laundry closet.  The trim around the new cabinets was very well done.

A kitchen renovation is never an easy project. MKC first provided several designs to address our needs and desires. They went through the pros and cons of several lines of cabinets and types of cabinets, finishes, doors, option, etc. MKC contacted contractors like the electrician and plumber, coordinated with others to ensure timely demo of the existing kitchen and installation in proper order of flooring, electrical, and plumbing needs while ensuring cabinets were ordered and installed.

I do not give these good marks lightly. This job went perfectly. Pam, the co-owner and designer, was invaluable in helping us choose what went into the kitchen. She showed us the pros and cons of what was available. We chose Medallion cabinets, which arrived in perfect condition. Pam was always available to us, in person or by phone. No waiting for long periods of time for her to return our calls. When we had trouble with the appliance supplier, she intervened on our behalf to get the problem solved. She was always pleasant and extremely competent. Michael, her husband did the measuring, tear out and installation. He added a piece of missing soffit. This was all done carefully, neatly, and on time. There were never any problems. This job was done with the highest level of care and workmanship. the price was the same, or a bit lower than the big box stores we went to before choosing MKC.
