Lousy builder, very unreliable.  Incapable of completing work.  We had to fire him.  Our neighbors witnessed his workers and their lack of ability to complete our construction.

Mr. Kitner is coming after us with a mechanic's lien even though he knows full well we paid the contractor exactly $30,000 at the start of the job specifically for the foundation work, and he should have been paid out of that. The state gives him the right to place a lien on our property, but he sat in our living room and knows full well we paid the contractor. He had the lien delivered to us on Christmas Eve. So we're out tens of thousands, taken by a crooked contractor, and Kitner insists we owe him money. He still hasn't accounted for several thousand dollars' worth of lumber he took from our property to use on a diner he said he was restoring with the crooked contractor. According to our contract, he inflated his price on the lien and, in our opinion, has no honor, because he's coming after us, and we're the victims who have already paid -- albeit the wrong guy -- for Kitner's work.
