I was bothered by the fact they do not optimize space on the truck, it is simply thrown in a heap, I can live with that but they were told twice where the cut off line was, I will say there was a lot of junk and it was a piled-up mess, I had good things in the back of the garage on pallets, they did fill the truck but also went to the back of the garage and took some of my belongings such as a cooler, patio umbrella, 42 inch grapevine wreath, wicker baskets, a picnic basket and a couple of boxes, when I asked why they went to the back and took things from there the guys answer was well we made more room for you, they had already been paid and they left, this was June 30th, I give all information to Customer Care who does not seem to care at all, I received an e-mail someone would call but to date no one has called. I am upset and angry, if you hire these people besure to stand there until they finish, pretty simple instructions, don't go beyond the blue blanket. I just want you to take what is in front of it. Now I have taken a loss, never again.

  I called the toll free number on the day before  to ask price  of taking a piano.  Three guys came to evaluate situation of location of piano next morning at prearranged time of 7:30 -8:00 AM, we agreed to price and they proceeded to move through narrow doorway, around  stairs, down 1 step to wooden door stoop, then down 3 more stairs to rest on walkway in yard with NO damage to stairs or  doorway.

Then they had to gradually move it  over a slate walkway toward another set of Bluestone steps in front walkway to driveway.

 The walkway move couldn't be rolled over , so they  picked it up in increments AND they were extremely careful NOT to chip the Bluestone steps. We agreed to price at 8:00am and I have a picture of them rolling it onto their truck at 8:47 AM.  We were very satisfied and impressed with their courtesy and caution with our property!  Couldn't be happier, thanks.

Went well. They were on time and in minutes it was done. This is the second time I have used 1800gotjunk. The first time, late 2013, I had a truck load. Very efficient. The only issue is that you will not know the cost until they arrive and survey what you want hauled away. I understand why this is so...but it creates some risk...that is, I was having new furniture delivered the following day, so I was compelled to have them do the job even though it was costlier than I expected. I will, however, use them again.

Easy, convenien scheduling via website. Call from office 1/2 hour to let us know they were on the way. 2-man crew was professional and efficient. Full truckload removed from house in about 20 minutes.

The men arrived on time and were there about 1/2 hour. We were moving stuff around as they were loading, and they kept saying they would get it themselves.
My mother was very resistant to having alot of this stuff trashed, but they worked around her (when we couldn't keep her distracted in the house).
The 2 men that came to do this job were very hard working and professional.

Called business last day of garage sale to sell household items. Appointment made for the following day.  Pricing could be $200-$599. Called back to ask how/what they did with items, whether or not things were salvaged or just "junked". Was told they separated items and salvaged and sold what they could. They did show up when they said they would on the first day. The haulers did not place items in the dumpster they just threw things in and did not take care to "pack" items. Many items were left that could have, with very little effort, been placed in the dumpster. Charge $683. The second appointment for the remaining items they did not show up at any time during the appointed time. A third appointment was made and they kept saying they were done, we're done, we're done when in fact we had to keep saying this needs to go, and this and this. $483. The dispatcher and supervisors clearly have no idea what the haulers are actually doing. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

The truck arrived within 2 hours of our initial call. The workers were courteous, professional, and very pleasant. We had used them to clean out our garage a few months ago and we were similarly very favorably impressed. They also worked very quickly. The whole job took less than an hour. I would definitely use them again.

After cleaning out my basement and an apartment and having most of the items moved into my garage, I went to the 1-800-GOT-JUNK website, and very quickly and easily set up my appointment electronically. Their website shows pictures of junk to help the consumer judge the quantity (in truckload amounts) and the estimated cost of removal. Appointments are made in a two-hour window, and the workers phone just before arrival. Two young men came, and were in and out in no time. They took everything in the garage that I designated for removal and then, upon my request, went to the basement for an old dehumidifier as well as to the upper deck to pick up a cabinet I could not move myself. It was a smooth and pleasant operation.

Ok. I booked the job for 11:30, and they called to say they'd be here at 1pm. They estimated our junk would fit 5/8 of the truck, which was a certain price point, but it ended up being 3/4 of the truck (which was 2 price points higher), so the job ended up costing a lot more than I originally thought...but then there's nothing you can do. You can't tell them to unload your crap from their truck. They don't mop up after themselves, so now I'm moping and cleaning up the stairs and entryway. They're not very careful with doors/walls, so if you have Bilco or side doors, I'd recommend using those.

I placed the call at about 11:00, got a call from the local franchise in Troy for directions at about noon, and they were at the house the same afternoon at about 1:30. Mike, the driver, came downstairs to the cellar to assess the request, explained how they would proceed, then asked if I wanted it done. At my positive response, he and his partner started with the freezer, which required that the door to the laundry room be removed, which they did. In short order all three appliances were in the truck, and the door was replaced without my having to ask. I added a set of old wooden folding chairs and an empty oil drum, and the total still came to a lot less than the estimated quote from Canada. I happily paid with a credit card, and they were on their way, about 3 1/2 hours from start to finish. That evening, we got a call from the parent company asking if our experience was satisfactory, which it was.

They were prompt and on time. HOWEVER, they tracked mud and grease throughout the house. They left grease and dirt on every carpeted stair, the dining room rug and kitchen floor. They apologized, but didn't even attempt to wipe their feet and continued to walk in and out of the house. Fortunately, there was only 1 item in the house for them to remove, everything else was in the garage, so I guess the mess could have been worse. They cleaned up nothing, even after acknowledging that they had tracked in dirt on the floors and carpets. Got-Junk is a franchise and I'm sure that they're all not this bad, but I cannot recommend this particular franchise.
