Braendel Painting & Services Inc
About us
Going back to 1973 when Dennis C. Braendel started the company with one used truck and a step ladder, his policy then and still today is 'Our customers are satisfied customers.' Our mission is to give only the highest quality job at the fairest price possible. We are very thankful and proud to serve the community from one generation to the next several generations. In 2004 Jeff Catrabone branched out to the western New York region, bringing a braendel shop to the Buffalo community. He moved to Buffalo with two painters and one van, the buffalo branch now has over twenty painters and ten vans. They also offer a full carpentry crew that features anything from small wood repairs to full bath and kitchen remodels. Braendel has recently bought a new stand alone building in Tonawanda, NY and continue to build a bigger and better company. Although Braendel Painting Services has grown immensely over the last 42 years, we want to stress that no job is too small, from patching a leaky roof to painting a closet or repairing a loose step.

I called to complain and they sent a person out to inspect the job. We had post-it notes all over the place marking each issue. He said he'd never seen such careless work. As it was, they had to send a crew back out for a whole other day to fix all their mistakes. As a result I had to uproot my son and spend the night with him in my parent's guest bed to keep him away from the fumes, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid from the beginning. One of the things that annoyed me the most was that in the process of all this, they damaged a suitcase. Rather than just moving things to the center of the room, they decided to stack stuff on our bed and in the course of heaving my suitcase up, they tore the handle off. When I reported this to the VP, he responded - what did you have in there a bunch of rocks? I don't know if he was trying to be funny or was letting his frustration show, but quite frankly what does it matter what I had in the suitcase? It is my personal property and should have been handled with care, if handled at all, irrespective of what was inside. They did eventually compensate me for the bag but when I spoke to him at one point and wondered if we would be receiving any other compensation for all out inconvenience he said he didn't know what I was looking for other than them sending a crew out to make good on what they failed at the first time. Honestly, I still think we should have been given some money back for the deplorable job they did and the fact that I had to displace myself and my son as a result of their shoddy work. Even after they supposedly fixed everything, we still have found areas of trim that were never repainted and other small errors. Several weeks ago I found paint on one of my jackets in the closet because when they corrected the completely uneven, wavy edge they were apparently too lazy to move anything out of the way. At this point I am so fed up with their workmanship and attitudes that we don't even want to bother dealing with them anymore and my husband and I will fix it ourselves and I'll be seeing if the dry cleaners can salvage my coat. The real kicker of it all was when we got the automatic card in the mail after the job was done thanking us for our business and saying they hope they can do work for us again in the future! What a laugh...
painting very amateurish, high priced - overall job = very poor
As for the painting jobs in the living room, and closet--I had to call them back because they were not addressed correctly on the first visit. Total of 2 more visits by the painter to fully and satisfactorily complete the job.
Final anaylsis: priced too high for the level and quality of work. Plus the inconvenience of having to have the painter and company representive come back to document and complete faulty workmanship.
I have hired a lot of contract services in my time, and there are very few that even come close to my expectations.
Braendel nailed it! These guys are all about the details! From the initial quote, to product recommendations, preparation, painting, last minute changes, and flexible scheduling. Their work is absolutely the best I have ever seen!
Most impressive was their level of preparation...the sanding, cleaning, skim coat, more sanding, priming, more sanding....on and on!
They arrived on time everyday.
They cleaned up the job site everyday.
Their crew consists of experienced professionals that have been doing this for a long time.
Most of the time you didn't even know they were there.
They were prompt, courteous, and very professional.
Their painting is incredibly accurate and true, and in most areas, two coats were applied.
I had to make a last minute change to the schedule and no one ever groaned or complained...they accommodated my request.
They even left the paint they did not use so I could touch up any areas in the future that may get dinged or damaged.
They also followed up to see if I was satisfied.
I later found out that Braendel started out with two people and with most referals from word-of-mouth, has grown to 20.
I can see why!
