Auto Service
Everyone who drives an old car knows how gnawing it is when your last inspection is expiring and your check engine light came on. You fixed here and fixed there, and God knows why your grumpy old car still likes to throw that little orange light out. This is the circumstances under which me and my 2000 Toyota got to know Jerry at Al's.
In addition to locating the problem and replacing broken auto parts, Jerry provided best consultation for endless popping-up problems. I have stopped by his shop so many times in the past week for diagnosis and advice. He has been incredibly patient, incredibly resourceful, and amazingly helpful. Plus, he charged nothing for all those minutes he talked to me and the small but essential service he did to the car.
I have been to other places like Firestone and Goodyear. Those guys are professional as well. But in those big chains, you have to wait in the waiting area; you normally don't get to talk to the person who fixes your car and you only converse with the front desk and with your credit card. In Al's, Jerry showed to me side by side which part of the car was wrong and what was fixed. It feels great to be down to the shop floor. You actually got to know the physical look of the service and the person who offered you crucial help. You get to negotiate, learn and enjoy. This is far better than those unnecessary formalities and the transaction is far transparent.
I am very grateful I found Al's through Angie's list. I want to thank previous reviewers. Thank you for leading me to the right place and getting to know people. I will refer all of my friends, who like to save, to enjoy and to support local business, to Al's Super Service and in particular, to Jerry, one of the most awesome persons and mechanics in town!!!

Auto Service
Have a 2006 Malibu. I gave it to my retired mother to use when I purchased a new car this year (2013). Within a few months the power windows and wipers and overhead lights and some other power accessories would not work. Took the car to Al's and they had the car a full 2 days working on the problem and found a corroded wire(s) and got everything working again for less than $150!! We were worried that it could cost hundreds if we took the car to the dealer and its out of my mother's budget. So far so good. We dont know what we would do without Jerry Short and the other men that work @ Als...they've worked on our cars for 25+ years now.

Auto Service
This is a highly experienced business of auto professionals. I own my vehicle and the warranty is expired. I have taken my vehicle(s) to this business for 25 years. They always are their to assist me in all my auto repair and inspection needs. I don't know what I would do without them. I would have to go to the dealer and thats not good. I had a broken rear coil and the car would feel like it would sway when on the thruway. I was assured by Al's Super Service that it wasnt dangerous and when I needed other servicing they would change it then. So when I had to rotate my tires and get an oil change they fixed it and changed out both rear springs for me instead of just the one. They told me since the coils (springs)came in pairs they just put in both for me and charged me for one. I really depend upon this business and hope they never close. My relatives also take their vehicles to them and we all really trust these highly experienced auto professionals...They are postively wonderful group of guys...
