Appliance King Svc

We called Appliance King (Craig) to repair our GE Profile refrigerator. Over the phone, Craig said the major repair issues with this model are typically either the motherboard, invertor, or compressor. The prices quoted to replace the board and/or invertor were reasonable, especially since he only uses factory OEM parts. Craig arrived exactly on time. It took an hour for him to disassemble and test each component, and to determine that it was a bad compressor. He said the compressor could be replaced but a new refrigerator would be the better choice. We were only charged a nominal service call fee which was more than reasonable given the amount of time and travel it took. I spent some time talking with Craig after the service call. He is an experienced old timer, honest, hardworking, ethical, and a breed of businessman rarely seen any more. If an appliance repair is needed, give Craig a call. Do it quickly, as a tradesman like him are quickly disappearing.

Greg can fix appliances that others can't fix. This was our experience the first time we hired him several years ago, and has been our experience ever since.

Our washing machine was on the fritz. It wouldn't fill with water. It would make clicking sounds as if it was sensing the load, but then never begin to fill and run the load. I called that morning to make an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised that they scheduled someone to come out that very afternoon which was dumb luck because I happened to be home from work that day. The gentleman came by and did all of the diagnostic tests and determined that it performed all of the functions properly. He explained to me that the lights on the machine, when they display/blink in a certain pattern, it's an error code. When this happens, we need to unplug the machine for 5 minutes and plug it back in. It will then reset and work fine. He explained it's often caused by a brown out by our local utility.  The only charge was $85 and this was made clear when I scheduled the appointment. There were no other charges and I was happy to pay it, especially for having learned how to fix the problem in the future. We made a service call to another company earlier in the year for the same problem. They "fixed" it and charged us double the price, claiming it needed a part. Appliance King is now our go to appliance repair service!! Very grateful for the honesty and professionalism.

My washing machine door stays locked. I had to used a screwdriver to  pry the door open. The repairman responsed quickly and diagnosed the problem and got the part and repair the washing machine.

He was there the very next day at the specified time. Diagnosis of the issue was complete within 5 minutes. He had replacement parts available to remedy the situation and the repair and clean-up was done within 40 minutes total time. He gave me a cost for repair that I had to approve before repairs were made. A very cheerful and honest man, he advised that because of the age of the machine (13 years now ), that this should probably be its last major repair before investing in a new appliance. 
I would use him again in a heartbeat and recommend his service highly!

Our over the counter microwave was not heating. I called Appliance King Service over a 3 day period and left messages. Our calls were never returned. We called another provider who return our call and perform the service

Our washing machine seemed not to be spinning the way it used to.  I also noticed
a bad smell inside the washer.  Greg tested the spin, and said it was actually working 
fine.  He recommended a gallon of vinegar to remove the smell, and it worked!  It's 
nice to find skilled workers with honesty, instead of only $$$ on the mind!  I would 
certainly use them again, but I hope I don't need to!

Greg was able to come the day after I called. He was on time, very knowledgeable , efficient and we talked a lot about appliances and he answered many questions that I had. I remembered , when he was here, my dishwasher door was broken so he is returning to fix it. I highly recommend him and will tell all my friends to call him when they have a large appliance problem.

Great fast work, the repairman came on time and finished in half an hour.  Called on Labor Day, spoke to a person and he was here early the next morning.
In addition to fixing the motherboard, he also showed me how to get my dead ice-maker working again. I would definitely recommend.

He arrived on time and was responsive.  After several attempts to figure out why my dishwasher was making odd noises, he stated that it was a design flaw in that particular brand.  He said the the motor and the pump were not well supported.  His "solution" was to put cardboard under each.  Needless to say, it didn't solve the problem.  The door hinges were also very noisy, and he said that he could replace them.  He called later that evening with an estimated price, and I agreed to have them replaced.  He never called back, and never followed up even though he said it would just be a few days.    I called another repairman who informed me that the bearings were gone on both the pump and the motor in the machine.  To replace them and the hinges would cost more than the value of the machine which was not top quality to begin with.   I bought another dishwasher instead.

We had a great experience with Greg. Our oven was not turning on. I called Appliance King and
Greg came out the next morning. He informed us that we needed a new bake igniter. He replaced
it quickly and at a reasonable price. I would definitely call him again.

I used him on two separate occasions.  First, I heard a rattling in my washer.  Took it apart and found underwire from a bra rattling around which cut a hose.    Removed the wire, ordered and replaced the hose, and put the machine back together. Price was very fair. On another occasion,  replaced the fridge condenser, also reasonably priced.  I would not hesitate to use him again.

He came on time , checked the unit and performed the replacement on the spot.

Went very well, He showed up on time and was able to figure out problem in less than 30 minutes.  We suspected what the problem was, but needed a professional confirmation, as a new refrigerator had to be purchased.
