TRAVEL VOUCHER AND PRESCRIPTION .
I saw the provider June 1, 2010, and called 3 times since to request an email or note saying he saw me that day and to get a letter from him to my prescription coverage plan to change to a med not on their formulary. There was resistance about his emailing me, despite the capability being listed on their website. The provider did not have verify my appointment, anyone could have, including the people I spoke with on the phone. It's was over a month and they held up my June travel reimbursement form all June medical trips, plus that check takes a couple of weeks to get under normal circumstances.
The first person I spoke to June 1, the day of the appt.suggested I come in, makes no sense to travel 16 miles for this.
for a June 22 call, was told someone would email me after she said the provider would call me and I explained I can't be reached by phone because I'm on dial-up and on the computer all day. Her "solution" was to tell me DSL is available! That seemed unnecessary and patronizing.
My 3rd call was June 28 with yet another person who said she'd get a note to the nurse, I said no need, all I want is my appointment verified, gave her my email and the FAX address for the county office. was told by one of the people that I SHOULD have had it done June 1 when I was there. That was an unnecessary critical and punitive remark that didn't address a solution.
This delay meant that my credit card bill with the gas charges came out of my pocket and delayed another trip payment. I really don't see why this inefficiency exists, that email, FAX, or snail-mail note should have gone out within a few days of my June 1 request.
------
I wasn't charged a co-pay for my last visit. and they seemed to have gotten their act together judging from my last two visits.
