First, before taking the cat out of the carrier, he checked to make sure she had her rabies shot up-to-date.  This is always wise when dealing with unknown animals.  Dr. Patel had never seen this particular cat before.  He did not do a blood panel because she had one recently with a veterinary group I will not mention.  However, the next day, I heard the results of my cat's stool culture, good news shared by the Technician and myself!  The animal assistant was in the exam room immediately and his sole purpose was attention to the animal, restraining, watching, making sure the Veterinarian can do his job without getting hurt or losing time with a scared or unruly animal.  It is also the Veterinarian's job to remind the owners of what the pet needs.  We needed a Distemper Vaccine.
The office staff is extremely kind and friendly.  This is an organized animal hospital, not a lot of explaining to do to different employees. This I appreciate, because we don't have to repeat ourselves over and over to any staff member. 
If anything in the examination was to possibly be messy, Dr. Patel and assistant took my cat into another area of the hospital.  We could see them, but stayed out of the way and chatted with the Technician or Office manager. Dr. Patel was happy when my husband shook his hand on the way out.  Never take anyone for granted.  I would sincerely recommend this Veterinarian.
