Something was wrong with the trap in one of our bathroom sinks, and as usual Tom was able to promptly diagnose and fix the problem. I have used him for years and have always been impressed by his abilities as a plumber and problem solver. He is also a really decent guy. When we had a big flood in our basement many years ago (from a storm, not from plumbing problems), he came to the rescue before any of the other contractors, quickly replacing our hot water heater, hauling the other one out, giving us advice, etc. He doesn't nickel and dime and never tries to sell me on a bigger fix when a smaller, cheaper one will do.

It was your classic bait and switch as far as pricing goes. They were very rude to me, and the job took way longer than they said it would to complete. I even had to provide them with tools on some occasions. He is apparently a master plumber and seems to know what he is doing, but functions more like a journeyman at best.

I live in a co-op apartment building so they do a lot of work in the building. They have done work in my own apartment. I've referred Aqua-Temp Plumbing and Heating to some of my other people who needed them in terms of plumbing supply and they have been outstanding. They are not cheap but they are good. These guys are excellent in what they do. They have an expertise I think in handling older buildings. This is a 1928 to 1932 apartment building and they handle everything here. Most of the time they are polite. I would just say sometimes there are people that are less expensive than they are. They clean up after they are done.

We were very pleased. Tony arrived exactly when he said he would (there was some miscommunication about the date but he rearranged his schedule to come when we thought he was coming). He was neat and thorough even replacing the grout under the toilet. He even brought the old toilet down to the bottom of our driveway for us. He looked at our shower faucet and made some recommendations and also our refrigerator about attaching the water line. We were very satisfied with the job and would defintely use aqua-temp again!
