Just some background. My neighbor and I decided to do some concrete work together since our existing concrete driveway is either cracked or uneven. I'm overall very unsatisfied with what Amad and his people did in my property. First of all, Amad's people made a HUGE and HORRIBLE mess in my property. They spilled concrete, yes, wet contrete, literally EVERYWHERE!!! They spilled WET CONCRETE on my iron fence, brick wall, garage door, house's brick face, as well as other people's property. I'm not kidding. After they are done I spent another $300 and days just to buy products such as concrete dissover and paints to cover up their mess. Amad showed little to none effort in help cleaning up things. He ended up bringing only ONE people to our properties with NO cleaning tools. He had to borrow a sponge and basket from my garage to clean things up. Yes you didn't hear me wrong. Water and sponge for cleaning concrete spillage. How environmentally friendly is this?? I don't even want to mention the new concrete they poured now since they really gave me a headache and nightmares. They look absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!! You would see many uneven patterns, discoloration, unstraight control joints, rough edges. When they break the old concrete, they also bracked my brickface and left some part unbreaded, so in the end, they put a new layer of cement with a different color on it to patch it up. Just imagine how horrible it looks! This is far from professional and any construction worker hanging around outside of the Home Depot could have done a better job than this. They made concrete level to my house and garage, which made it PERFECT for rainwater to flood my basement and garage. Now I seriously don't know what to do. I feel not only like $4500 throwing down the drain but also going to pay even more in the spring to fix this problem. Amad also didn't keep his words. He promised us that he is going to bring a sander and sand the uneven part and rough edges of our concrete, at least make the uneven pattern look smooth. Well, I thank him because he tried. He eventually, after one month, brought ONE people to our property and try to use a HAND SANDER, yes you didn't hear me wrong, a hand sander, not even the electric one, trying to sand the concrete slab they poured. They obviously tried but didn't work, and they left and never came back. He didn't keep it to the end of the deal. If you were going to hire this contractor, please be very careful about what he promised to you. Also, DON'T PAY UNLESS EVERYTHING IS DONE. I'd suggest pay 50% when everything is done and hold on the rest of the money till one month after the new job. In this case in case something didn't go right you wouldn't be losing more money and time. As for Home Advisor, please be careful when selecting and suggesting contractors and if you could, please do something to make this right. Well there is one positive thing worth to mention is that Amad is friendly overall. At least he got everything done and the price is reasonable. He also asked me to leave a positive review on Home Advisor but I'm not going to lie for such a bad experience.
