The process of buying a car at the right price is often difficult and harrowing. I knew the make and model and color I wanted, and sought a dealer that could sell it to me at the best price on that day. After a lot of back and forth, Tarrytown Honda was the place. So I got dropped off at the dealership ready to make the deal. When they brought the car around, it was the wrong one (V8 instead of V4). I was not prepared to pay for the V8, and became upset. They apologized profusely, gave me a ride home, and promised to have the car I wanted delivered to my house within a couple of days. I went through with the deal, and the staff followed through. So, while it was disappointing that they didn't have the car I wanted even though they had assured me of such over the phone, I was very pleased at the lengths they went to to right their wrong. All in all, I am pleased. A-

I made an appointment for a scheduled maintenance at 15K Miles. Everything was fine except for the price, which was an astronomical $375. I've owned 8 cars in the last 15 years and have never faced such a high charge so soon. The work took about an hour, since I dropped it off at 8:00AM and received a phone call that it was done at 9:15. There was a charge of $125 that consisted of a list of about 8 and quot;partsand quot;, none of which were itemized by cost. I asked one of the managers about a couple of the items. He first described the routine cleaning of the fuel injectors. When I asked what parts are involved in a routine cleaning, he walked me over to the parts department, where I was shown a shrink-wrapped package containing two bottles of what looked like STP gas treatment and a spray can, which he told me was $60. When I asked about the and quot;battery serviceand quot;, he showed me a small plastic bag with a few rubber washers. He then tried to convince me that the $125 was less than the sum of the individual parts and I got a and quot;dealand quot;. I know they are generally a reputable dealer, but the invoice system is clearly designed to snow the customer. I admit they were polite, but my sense was they knew that I knew there was an element of and quot;scamand quot; in this process. Well, fool me once, shame on me. I should have insisted on a simple oil change.

All my other new cars, had similar scheduled maintenances that never exceeded $100. I'm new to the area and realize the Westchester County is a good 15%-20% more costly than where I used to live in Massachusetts, but this is ridiculous. I bought the car from this dealership because I felt the salesman didn't give me the runaround. I know I paid a bit more than if I did more intense research, but I generally like to by my cars locally and am a loyal customer to a dealer that I feel treats me well. I see I will need to go back to Massachusetts for my scheduled maintenance from now on. I cannot possibly give this dealership my service business again.

Their customer service and professionalism were above and beyond. They were excellent. They were extremely helpful. The minute I got in and dropped off the car, they were actually going to have somebody drive me back home. I had no way of getting back home. They were all helping me trying to get back home, even the receptionist. That was above and beyond what they should have done. They were willing to do it for me. I didn't want to wait there for them to fix it. I am going to be going there henceforth.

They are just very professional. They are punctual and do their work in a timely fashion each time. They are very accurate in their servicing in terms of what the car needs on a regular basis. They keep records to monitor our car on a regular basis. We follow their advice in terms of how to maintain the car. We have been very pleased with them.

Worst auto purchase experience ever! Monthly price quoted over the phone grew by $120/mo when signing time came (BAIT AND SWITCH?). Salesman I dealt with left the company before pick up day - never arranged the pick up. Another salesman takes over - owners manual not available and only has valet key. I need to return another day to pick these up. Out of nowhere, a $500 down payment shows up on the final lease papers. Business manager finally removes this down payment, but only after argument. DMV papers delayed for administrative problem on the dealer's end. Horrible experience at EVERY level.

The salesman and general manager were very straightforward in giving me a trade in value which I got within the first half hour I was at the dealer. Unfortunately, the salesman left the dealership before I took delivery of the car. This where things went a little awry. Having said that, the car was delivered quickly and there were no problems with the car. Just that the salesman forgot to transfer the belongings from my old car to the new. Luckily, I discovered this when I was about 4 miles away and had to go back.

Honda was good to me. I thought they perhaps could have lowered the price just a little more but in general, I was treated well and I got a pretty decent price in the long run. I have used them twice since I bought my car there and the service department is pretty good too. I wish my car had four wheel drive but other than that, I would call them slightly above average.
