"This is a secondary customer to us, we had performed a roof replacement at this address for an elderly customer who despite our recommendations to remove her gutter helmets decided against it. We told her they would possibly cause issues in the long term with ice back ups and ice dams. She did not want to remove them because she was selling the house and did not want to incur another cost. She sold the house to this customer. Three years later the gutter helmets are causing ice dams and back ups which are not covered under Shingle warranties. We have been out to help this customer even though he has repeatedly hung up on us, treated our employees disrespectfully, and has been leaving us bad reviews under multiple names."

"The Roofing Guys have been in business for over 14 years providing quality service at decent prices and have a stellar reputation for our charitable work to the community. Our estimator Robert, 50 years old, that you insinuate was on a drug fueled bender is a hard working, kind, and honest man that doesn’t even drink alcohol. Robert had his own construction company for over 20 years before he came to work for us for a less manually intense career, he knows the ins and outs of roofing work like the back of his hand and is very knowledgeable. A simple no thank you for the free estimate he provided you would have sufficed instead of throwing false accusations on the Internet. At not time were you obligated to pay a dime, he gave you an honest proposal for the work to be done copied and pasted below: REPAIRS TO BE MADE AS FOLLOWS: • Remove all roofing at wall into valley • Install new 3/12 pitched valley roof approx. 8’x5’ • Install ice & water shield on entire area and up exposed wall • Install 4’ high fascia board approx. 8” long at base of valley • Remove 2’x2’ of roofing where lower roof meets upper roof • Remove shingles approx. 2’ off wall, ice & water shield, step flash, & install shingles to match • Replace ridge vent and cap shingle • Replace 2 boots on upper back roof We propose hereby to furnish material and labor-complete in accordance with the above specifications for the sum of: $3,250 + tax The prices, specifications and conditions are satisfactory and are hereby accepted. "After reading this review we reached out to the homeowner to clarify what happened. In 2018 we gave them an estimate on siding, they decided to go with another company. Again in 2018, they had us evaluate a leak in their flat roof for which we provided an estimate and they signed wanting us to do the work. We were unable to do the work in the timeframe they wanted and they called and cancelled the contract. In June 2019 they called again for another estimate and the estimator it was assigned to was ill and was unable to complete the estimate. We saw online they had already chosen another contractor so did not reach out after he was well because they already had the work completed. We extended our apologies to the customer on the phone today."

"I have supporting documentation that during the times The Roofing Guys tried to attempt to do work on the house we were denied access or the homeowner would not respond to phone calls or emails for weeks at a time. We just recently completed free siding repairs to make up for the mistake in the installation which was also fixed. Out of thousands of roofs the handful of mistakes that were corrected are always the ones to post the bad reviews. We always warranty our work, stand by our products and install, and if anything is not up to par we fix it at no charge as we did for this homeowner. We are sorry he had to go through this, but we did everything to try to make it right."
