Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists - SOS Plus

I had to have additional work done 3 years later, so it didn't last me as long as I thought it should. They should have listened to me at the time, and used the materials that seemed to be indicated by the thorough research that my wife did about hip replacement surgery. They were confident that they were doing exactly what needed to be done. The office environment is very professional, and there was never any difficulty making an appointment. The staff was pretty friendly.

They seem to be on top of their game. I am not experiencing severe comfort, and I am ambulatory.

So far, so good. Sor far, the competence of the surgery stood out to me. I have used that particular service for 40 years.

It's a huge practice.  What we got with Dr. Timothy Izant was overall excellent.  Basically, it's an excellent surgeon and it has an excellent reputation.  There's no complications, no restrictions post-surgery and I am up and moving without any walker.

I,have been seeing him for a couple of years.  Excellent Dr. Would use him again.  He is the on,y Dr. I,have seen at SOS  therefore I cannot comment on any other Dr.

I would have required using two doctors one for the elbow the other for the shoulder, just didn't make sense to me.

It went very well. He gave me some details i've not received before.  This is helpful in helping me decide when and if I will do this very difficult surgery.

Dr. Bianco was our orthopedist. We like him very much. His demeanor was very calming. We really appreciated that very much. The staff was very helpful and welcoming and kind.

I have been seeing the practice for about 18 months for problems with my knee and my shoulder. The first Dr. I saw in the group was, well, unpleasant. I was considering shifting to another practice entirely.
In February 2013 I had a minor accident and went to SOSPlus, the after hours clinic that they run in DeWitt. I was treated quickly and effectively by the team on duty. If you have a problem in the evening or on a weekend, skip the ER or the Urgent Care and go see them. I was referred to Dr. Vella for follow up.
I saw Dr. Vella a few weeks later and he was great. My shoulder problems are about gone. As a result, I have since switched to Dr. Vella and his team for my knee problems and am very happy with the results. Dr. Vella uses a special team for injections, Kristen and Brittany, who use ultrasound to guide the process. They are the greatest! I would recommend SOS to anyone, but caution them to select carefully when selecting the physician.

Everything went as per the usual. Running on time. Nurse was thorough with what concerns there might be to bring to the doctors attention. The doctor came in checked wrist discussed concerns and left.

I went in to the hospital very early was sudated and went into surgery. I remaimed in the hospital for about a week to rehab. and went home and continued my rehab from there for a few weeks more.

I like their orthopedic specialists and they are really good people. I rate them very highly.

I had to have shoulder surgery after a car accident.I had surgery at SOS's own In and out surgery center.Quick and EasyDr Cook and his staff are very experienced at this.Everything was explained in detail before surgery andbetter explained after surgery with detailed step by step photos.It was very interesting to see the inside of the area that was worked on.
Knock wood, if I every have to fix another broken bone, I will choose SOS in the future.

Have been here more than once for different problems. The doctors are knowledgable and kind, and getting an appointment is pretty easy. It took a few visits to address my problem, but they were willing to work with me to find solutions. I would recommend. They did refer my to NY SPINE and WELLNESS, which I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

They explain everything and tell me where it's at. They do a good job.

They are really good with ankles. They are really busy, and sometimes it's difficult to get an appointment. Once there, they are punctual, and friendly. I will continue to see them in the future.

They are very attentive and also lots of fun. If I ask questions they take time to answer them.

The work was exceptional.

Very well. She told them everything about the pain to fix her shoulder.
