Steps Plus Inc

I feel the experience went very well, we had a couple other companies give us estimates, and they were double the cost. The only problem I had was communication was not so good i n the beginning, we received our estimate in February, and they sent us a quote immediately. We signed the paperwork a couple weeks later and returned it, unfortunately we heard nothing back until we called them more than a month later. I knew work would not be completed in the winter months due to the cold, But when a contract is signed communication should take place immediately. Once that was taken care of, everything else went quite smoothly. They are very pleasant and the work was done quickly. I will definately use them again in the future

Step Plus replaced our front steps with pre-cast steps and a sidewalk which was pre cast concrete slabs.  We chose the steps that had a brick look to it.    They looked nice and we were satisfied at the time.

Within a year the brick facing started to come off (crumble)  and we noticed that the steps were not level.  They were sinking on one side.

We called the company but because we were just outside the one year  guarentee they said they were no longer responsible.  They said that if sometime there was a truck in the area they would look at it.   Several months passed and we heard nothing.  We called again and finally someone came.  They repaired the brick facing and charged us for it.  They also insisted the steps were level when it was obvious they were not.

Four years later we have had to replace the base under the steps and also the sidewalk.  In the process we discovered that the only thing under the steps was a little bit of gravel, there was no firm base.  The next time we need something done we will wait until we can afford to do it right.

They were really good.  The quality of the steps was great and the price was very reasonable.  It's really hard to take care of your lawn.  There was an indentation in the lawn which eventually went away and it's hard to take care of your lawn when they are doing that stuff.  Overall they were really good.  The only thing that they really didn't care for was that there was no guaranty or warranty for their work.  Basically everything is on you, if they ruin anything at your house, it's on you.  The only thing that they really didn't care for was that there is no protection for the consumer.  We were going to order a back patio step but we won't do that now because we saw how they took care in the front and now they would have to go in the back.  I'm afraid of the mess they would make in the neighbor's yard or break anything in their yard or ours as there is no protection at all.  I would not recommend them to anyone else only because there is no protection for consumers but other than that the stairs are beautiful.  It's a year now and the railings are rusting, the base of the railings is all rusted out which is very disappointing.  They are very friendly people, the receptionist is wonderful, and she took me and my wife through a tour of the facilities to see what they do.  The price was good but the quality was not all that good.
