What started as a hobby in the mid-1990’s turned into a full time business for Jerry Piraino by 1998. Jerry has always had an interest in hard work and the outdoors so this was a natural fit for his lifestyle. As a family man with a wife and two children Jerry Piraino realizes the importance of honesty and quality work for your investment. Piraino’s Landscaping is a company that prides itself on these characteristics. With 10 years experience we can meet any landscaping or junk removal need. Jerry Piraino has a strong commitment to Central New York, having graduated from Henninger High School in 1993, by volunteering in local youth and catholic organizations and now, coaching at Henninger High School. He has a number of family members enshrined in the Greater Syracuse and Syracuse Bowling Halls of Fame. We hired this company through an ad on Living Social. They arrived on time on the scheduled day. The work was completed in 4 hours and we were really pleased. We then contracted them to come back and do a second landscaping job. The crew arrived on time and we were very pleased with the job.
We then contracted with Joe, who was the supervisor on both previous jobs, to come back and plant ornamental grass. Joe has his own business, which is separate from Pirainos Lanscaping. We gave him $240.00 for the ornamental grass, and he stated that he would purchase the plants and come back within a week.
He has never come back! We have called Joe several times and he has not returned any of our calls. We have contacted Pirianos Landscaping and advised Jerry, the owner, of the situation. We asked that he have Joe call us, and still we have had no communication from Joe.
We will not use this company again, nor would we recommend them to anyone else.
"THE MEMBER FAILS TO REALIZE THAT THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AS PER THE CONTRACT. SHE WANTED ADDITIONAL WORK DONE WITHOUT SIGNING A NEW CONTRACT AND I REQUIRE A SIGNED CONTRACT FOR EVERY JOB TO PROTECT MYSELF FROM PEOPLE LIKE HER. SHE EVEN ADMITS THAT WE COMPLETED THE JOB IN HER COMPLAINT FOR ONLY $375. OF COURSE I HUNG UP ON HER, SHE CONTINUALLY THREATENED TO SUE AND DEMANDED MORE WORK BE DONE FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY AGREED UPON FOR ORIGINAL JOB. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO GIVE ESTIMATE FOR MORE WORK IN THE FUTURE."
