A job that should have taken no longer than 3-4 months is still in progress 7 months later. Jobs that the GC should have accomplished in short term were not. We brought in a sheet rocker, plaster, painter and flooring man after terminating the GC and he has accomplished more in 10 days than the GC accomplished in 7 months and is polite, clean and very reasonable. The GC demanded to be fed, left food exposed, was rude, and made demeaning comments. On one occasion we paid $2500 as a down payment for his services (which were never accomplished- sheet rocking, window installation, plastering and taping - the window he bought for our kitchen was too large and had to be returned). Of the $2500, four hundred ($400) was to be given to the plumber he hired. Instead he took the money and had the plumber bill us for an additional $400. The plumber was very unreliable too. When we terminated him, he refused to return the unused funds, which has necessitated legal action to recover those funds. The GC was tardy and disrespectful to women.
