Installation went smoothly. Rich and Sean showed up on time and conducted themselves as professionals. Conscientious, very hard-working guys.They seemed to know the exact game plan for each day and went about it methodically and without interruption. They seemed to work well together and take pride in their work. I think they did a great job. It was our pleasure to have them in our home.

Excellent job all around. The salesman kept me notified about scheduling, and I was given plenty of notice prior to installation, Installers arrived promptly as scheduled. They were friendly and professional. The downstairs provided an additional challenge in that there was a second layer of carpet underneath the top one, and it was glued to the concrete floor. The workers removed it, a messy, tough job, and took away all the old adhesive and disintegrated backing before installing the new carpet and vinyl flooring.

The installers did a wonderful job and were very nice men. We are very happy with the carpet.
However, when Marty Michel came to measure to order the carpeting in November, he failed to bring to our attention that since the hallway flooring was going from vinyl to carpet, two doors would need to be cut down to allow for the difference in height of flooring. Therefore, no prior arrangements were made to have that done.
After the carpet was installed, the installers could not replace the doors they had removed to install the carpet in the hallway. They told us that the doors would need to be cut down, and then they left.
I talked to Mr. Michel on the phone after the installers left, as I needed to pay for the remainder owed on the job, and asked him what I might do about the doors needing to be cut down. He then said he thought that the installers would charge about $35 a door to do that. We were unaware that the installers could have done it if arrangements had been made, the installers did not mention that they could have done it. I said ?they did not volunteer?. Mr. Michel off handedly commented: ?do you have a circular saw??, but offered no other remedy. We are not very experienced at having carpeting installed and needed to be more informed.
Many places sell carpeting, we chose Onondaga Flooring for the personal professional service also and don?t believe it was what we expected. We are seniors and were surprised to be left with doors that needed a carpenter. We gladly would have paid the extra charge to alter the doors if we had been given the opportunity.
PS: I sent the owner, Michael Perry in Syracuse, the above with the usual "comment card". After he received notice of the above Angie's list posting and the "comment card", he called me. He was so very nice and apologetic for the situation. He had not been notified by his employees that we had been caught off guard about needing the doors cut down. I had not thought to take the matter further than with the store employees. We had since gotten the doors cut to facilitate the change in flooring height. He stated that he would have facilitated the door adjustment if he had known about it. We will be having more flooring installed in the future, but felt uneasy about not "knowing what I don't know" when someone comes out to measure for the job. The owner assured me he would come himself to measure and make recommendations as to what we might want and/or need for any future transaction.

We appreciate your business and thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to working with you to rectify this situation."
