Unfortunately cannot recommend this time around. Floors are not good. Never came back to fix anything after I paid him in full. Many calls and text messages to Marty have gone unanswered. Hired Marty and team for big refinishing job in a vacant, fixer upper 1,700 sq ft. After removing carpets, he discovered some wood badly damaged. Marty suggested painting and covering up floors with LVP instead of restoration. I had to ask the professional if he could remove damaged wood and patch in new. He did not use wood bleach to lighten stains, balked when I suggested it. The floors appear 'dry'. He said he used 3 coats but there are some areas of the floors where mop water soaks right in. There are gaps in between the boards that did not get filled with poly but then they filled in random gaps with putty. There's no consistency. There were many wood chips sealed into the poly. I found a staple left in the floor and polyed over. They cut new wood around cabinets in the dining room and left the old wood underneath (this is the biggest headache I have to fix now that the cabinets are removed). I know a lot of effort was put into the job but overall, for the price I paid, the results are unsatisfactory and the unanswered calls and texts make it even worse.

I would have given him 5 stars, but had to do one star instead. I accidentally stepped on an area of my floor which looked dry (as the rest of my floor was), and left some footprints. He said he could come to "fix" the next day. marks were still there. looked like nothing had been fixed. poly wasn't spread correctly from the hallway to our bedroom, leaving it looking smeared, and he never came back to fix the prints after many texts to him.. $971 I paid and i expected much better results. i would not hire again.....

Marty and his team are MAGIC. They took a floor that should have been ripped out and burned and made it look brand new. He removed old tiled are and a HORRIBLE patched area and made it flow seamlessly. I have to show people the before pictures for them to believe me. You’re crazy not to hire this guy.

Lucky enough to have them start within days and not weeks. Arrived on time. Great job. Left no mess. Very professional. I would recommend this Company.

Marty and his crew were professional, punctual and personable throughout the entire process. The floors look brand new and the house was dust free when the project was over. I highly recommended NYB Enterprises if you are looking to get your hardwood floors done.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. Marty scheduled an estimate and was a no call-no show. I messaged him and nothing. I called the following day, he said he was out of town and didn’t have my number. UHHH ANGI APP??? We rescheduled and twenty* minutes late with no call/message, I called again. He acted as if he did not know me, then dismissively said he decided to stay and finish another job he was on. No apology, not even an acknowledgement that TWICE he blew me off. I decided to ask when he COULD start work (as if he ever had an intention to even quote the job). Two and a half months out. I told him never mind. Finally, he was fairly polite in saying, sorry about that. Not sure why he bothered to apologize at that point.

A++++++++++ I'm a real estate agent and I got estimates & interviewed 5 hardwood floor companies to refinish floors in my own home...Marty had the the most experience, the nicest personality, and best of all-the best price!! Another real estate agent recommended him and since he did my house, I have recommended him to anyone who has mentioned needing hardwood floor work done. AND, everyone I've recommended him to, LOVED his work! You will not regret calling him to do the job.

Marty and his team did an amazing job installing a new hardwood floor throughout our home. Our home now looks new! They started on time and came every day until the project was done, taking only 5 days to complete from start to finish. The team was professional and friendly, leaving the house clean and hauled away the old carpeting for us. I can't say enough good things about these guys. If we could rate higher than an A, we would do so. The work was amazing. We had the work done while we were away from home for a couple weeks. (We were comfortable entrusting Marty with a key to the house.) Marty sent daily photos so that we could see the progress. He took initiative to resolve a problem that we had not noticed, and mentioned it to us when we returned home. It is wonderful work, and just a pleasure to interact with Marty.

Outstanding! Fair price; I shopped around. Clean, dust-free system really works. Marty and his crew removed a wall-to-wall carpet, disposed of it, then sanded and coated the floors, installed a shoe moulding, and even sanded my well-used cherry wood kitchen table top. All done within 3 consecutive mornings. Marty offered tips & pointers which made a disruptive process go very smoothly. Highly recommended.

Marty provided a timely quote and explained very well the buff/coat and refinishing process. He is very easy to talk to and is clearly very experienced. He and his crew were punctual and very efficient. There was absolutely no wood dust to clean up. They nicely blended the refinished bedroom with buffed/coated hallway. Marty is also very handy. While his team were working on the floors I had mentioned in passing that a newly hung door was rubbing on the new tile flooring. He offered to cut the bottom of the door and then when there was still a problem with the door closing properly, he planed the door trim. Voila! Door closes perfectly now. Marty's customer service is second to none. The floors look fantastic. I am very pleased with the work performed by Marty and his crew. I would absolutely use them again. In fact, I have Marty coming back to look at another small project.

Marty and his crew were top shelf. I don't hand out compliments very readily. Marty stuck to his estimate and time frame. Our hardwoods look new. In addition we needed several floorboards beveled up to a new tile kitchen floor that was higher than our old one. Marty demonstrated his craftsmanship by fabricating and installing wider boards to make a gentle slope up to the new flooring! Amazing job! IN our area there are many larger homes. Many times I experience the "big home neighborhood effect" where contractors inflate estimates. Not Marty. He gave a fair price and even reminded me to use the Angies list coupon for a 5% savings. I recommend NYB Enterprises with every confidence and without reservation.

I recently moved all of the furniture out of my downstairs and left my home for a week to facilitate the refinishing of my hardwood floors by NYB Enterprises. Upon my return, I found all of our exterior flood lights on and a mess of a floor refinishing job. The entire floor was loaded with dust, hair, sand and other debris. Freshly painted baseboards had been marred and cracks were not properly filled. To the credit of the owner of NYB Enterprises, he responded to my call the next morning and came to my home, He agreed that with all of the issues and scheduled repairs and refinishing for the next day. We moved out again and returned the following day to find the to find all of the previously identified issues remaining as well as some new ones. In addition, every overhead light in the downstairs was left on and the front door left unlocked.

The most impressive things about the 3 men that showed up to my door was how friendly and punctual they were. The floors were not in bad condition, but needed refinishing to make the house look great. they sanded and did three coats of finish on time, and they do look great!

The hardwood floors desperately needed to be refinished in my home. Put in a quote request with 3 companies. Marty called me the same day I requested the quote. The quote was like the others but I hired him based on the superior reviews on Angie's list. He was professional, courteous, and very responsive. Paid half up front and the other half when it was finished. He arrived promptly Monday morning and the project was done Wednesday evening. I could move my furniture back in Thursday AM. There was a large area on the floor that had previously been patched and looked terrible. He removed the old wood, feathered in new hardwood and you wouldn’t notice there's a difference. It has been a few months since the project was completed and I have no complaints. Most of all, Marty is getting a 5-star rating from me because of the issue I had with the lock on my front door. In the middle of the project, I broke the lock trying to re key it. Had to run to Lowe’s and buy a new deadbolt. Had no clue how to install it. Marty did it for me while I was at work and didn’t charge me anything extra. True professional. Would recommend 100x. Thank you for everything!

I asked for an estimate, and he arrived promptly. He was courteous and took measurements, and promised I would have the estimate the following week. A few weeks went by, so I called him. He said he sent it, and confirmed my address. Said he would send it agin. I still haven't received an estimate.

Marty and his crew of journeyman installers did a great job for us. We split the second floor project into two sections a few months apart for our convenience. Could not be more pleased. Quietly took care of every little problem that arose and had creative approaches to difficult sections. We'll probably be bringing him back to refinish old flooring on the first floor in a few months. Thanks!

Mary and his team were great. They were extremely professional and respectful of our home. Marty quickly responded to all of my calls and was flexible in providing installation dates and times. In addition, he worked with us to make sure that what we wanted would be able to fit within our budget. Some of the pieces necessary to complete the job were backordered, so Marty agreed to come back when they ended up arriving (almost 2 months later) to finish, free of additional charge. When the pieces came in, he was prompt in in scheduling a time to complete the job, and was just as professional as he was for the main installation. Overall, I had a great experience with this company, and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for hardwood installation.
