"On May 22, 2012 we went out and provided Member a no cost written estimate to locate uncover and pump his 1000 gallon septic tank and Hydro scrub the inlet and outlet of the septic tank. Member agreed to the price and asked us to return to complete the work at that time Member gave Duncan a deposit for the Job as he did not live in the area and was in the process of moving. On May 25, 2012 Our technician returned and located the tank by uncovering 15ft of pipe leading to where the tank was located. We pumped the septic tank down at that time we also repaired a 4” 90 on the inlet of the septic pipe. We also cleaned the inlet and outlet of the septic tank. We feel Member has been given incorrect information. There is no house currently on the property and unable to perform the correct testing and had informed Member that once the home was on the property we would return at no charge to test the line. Member was not at the property when we returned to perform the scope of work when we called Member to let him know we where on our way he advised us to just go and take care of the work and he would pay the remaining balance via credit card over the phone. We have tried to contact Member and he has been ignoring our phone calls. It is not our business practice to take our customers for granted and we value our customers and stand 100% behind the work that we perform if our customer is not satisfied we will go above and beyond to make our customer's life long Mr. Rooter customer's."
They had a year’s guarantee on their work, but that just ran out and I am now past the window. They charged me $985 since it was a very involved plumbing job and not a simple problem. There was another plumber who came out to my house and told me that these guys weren’t even plumbers and shouldn’t have done that kind of work. They had a nice advertisement and they came in a very nice truck with the logo on it as well. I thought Mr. Rooter Plumbing was a professional outfit and they were, but they weren’t actually plumbers. They don’t actually have a plumbing certification. I explained the problem to Mr. Rooter Plumbing. I knew that it was going to be a big expensive thing and I had about $800 in my mind. So, I wasn’t mad when they told me that it would cost $985. Their pricing was fair. They had a notebook with everything that you could do. They could check it out and do it. It looked like they were a professional organization. They are using a similar name of a franchise. They came with all their equipment. They cut holes in my ceiling between two levels in my house. So, it was a really huge thing and I thought that most plumbers wouldn’t be able to do it. They got it done and so far it has been good. They did do a good job, but it wasn’t cheap. Their work is still intact and it has been over a year. They did know what they were doing even though they weren’t plumbers. They just didn’t have a plumbing certification and the other plumbers in the area don’t like that. However, they did the service that they came to do and they did it well. They showed up in a large truck with all kinds of plumbing equipment on it. I think they had about $50000 to $80000 worth of equipment on their truck. I thought the price was high, but I had an emergency. They came out the same day I called them. Whereas the others said that they would come out in 2 or 3 days. I would probably not use their services again and I am going to use a master plumber for any other plumbing problem. I am going to use someone who is actually a plumber. I don’t know if Mr. Rooter Plumbing would have stood behind the guarantee if something bad would have happened.
