We called the Abt boys and on the Thursday before Halloween; our hot water tank went and was leaking all over the basement. We have a direct vent, gas hot water tank - not found in any of the box stores. They were here first thing Friday morning, 10-31-14 with the correct hot water tank, installed it and were out of here is 3 hours. Buddy even took the old one with him. These guys are terrific, they are not the least expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for with these professionals!

The work was well done, Buddy repaired the problem (I could hear him upstairs cursing the stupid engineer who designed the part). Bud is always on time, works right along-does not waste time, thorough, nice guy and always cleans up after himself. I remember his father doing plumbing work for my parents when I was a wee one. These guys are great, not cheap, but the very best and will always make things right.

First of all, Joe showed up ten minutes
early, which was key in making a good first impression. And, he did a great
job. For example, there were a few extras that I wanted, such as ball valves installed
on both the water intake and outflow pipes. Joe did that exactly as I asked,
even though, as I understand it, it is customary to usually have a valve only
on the intake.

They were courteous, and left the area clean. They called when they thought they might be a few minutes late.

The job went very well, and the plumber was very professional. He arrived when he said he would, looked under the sink and at the new faucet, went to the truck for tools and supplies and got right to work. He had the job completed and all cleaned up in 1 hour. The new faucet is great, no more leaking and so much easier to operate. I am very pleased with the work done.

We moved into our 1928 colonial home over 2 years ago, and the water pressure had always been terrible. We thought the problem was because all the lines were undersized (1/2", not 3/4"). We finally asked Bill Abt about it. He suggested we first replace about 4" of galvanized metal pipe near the source of the house with a piece of copper pipe. He thought the galvanized might be clogged. He did just that, and now the pressure throughout the house is fantastic! We can shower, flush a toilet, run a faucet all at the same time if we wanted to. Bill is honest as the day is long. He could have sold us on replacing many more feet of pipe, but he suggested that we first try replacing the galvanized pipe (which looked completely clogged with years of gunk; no daylight could be seen!). We are very happy with Bill and have used his brother in the past as well. They love old houses and treat them with respect. They are professional, they show up when they say, and I trust them.

I didn't actually hire Bill, and Bud. They were hired by my general contractor to perform the work on my accessible bathroom. This was the best decision my contractor made.
The project was quite technical because the old plumbing had to be operational until all the new fixtures were installed and plumbed in to the new addition. At some point both the old and new plumbing were operational at the same time.
After they removed the all the old plumbing from the basement the new plumbing looked like artwork! I never knew plumbing was suppose to look that nice!
Bill and Bud were very professional, prompt, and clean.

They are on time, very neat and completely clean up before they leave. Friendly and very respectful of your house. We have never had a problem with any work they have done.

Very good. Talked over with them first then left them a key while I went to work for 3 days. Lots of work, ESP. Running not of pipes down to basement. Very trust worthy, have used before, So have close neighbors.

The job was done right, it went well. There has been no further leaks that we can detect. He got it all done. My only complaint is that they did a lot of chatting when I was supervising. He started to tell me how everything worked and gave me some advice but he charged me for that time while he talked to me. They are very knowledgeable and they did clean up everything. Shooting the breeze doesn't qualify for labor charges though.
