They showed up on time removed a shed in a trees and we're very friendly and the pricing I thought was extremely affordable any questions I have the owner was always there to answer them if I made a phone call or anything there was no problems and I would definitely recommend JD Hollis again.

Not well and the contractor also committed fraudulent deception to con her out of $6130.00 On March 29,2016 a crew of 5 showed up to do the work. The boss man asked her for a down payment of $2600 and she wrote him a check for that amount. When she didn't question the amount he new he had a mark so later that same day he asked her for another check for $2500 and she wrote him another check. He was apparently running to the bank to cash these checks because the bank called her to she if she knew what was going on. She said "well... they are doing some work for me." They spent 3 to 3.5 hours for the next 3 days cutting down 1 to 3 inch saplings about 15 in total, and clearing some brush. On the 3rd day the boss man said he wanted to cut down a cherry tree which if it fell would fall on her house and he asked her for $1500. She said too much and so he said $1000 and she wrote him another check. Strangely he asked her to spell his last name differently on the check. I was unaware of any of this going on until she called me to ask how much I had paid for my recent tree work and I told her $1685 she knew she had been taken. My was a massive job by professionals to remove large limbs from 5 old trees, the removal of a 75ft pine and 40ft spruce all of which had to be hauled a considerable distance to the street to be chipped up. My said they didn't cut the saplings off at ground level like she requested, many were left at 3ft high, nor did they remove the vines she had pointed out. There was also still a mess left in her yard. I immediately called them and stopped the cutting down of the cherry tree, which wouldn't come close to hitting her house if it fell, and I requested the return of the $1000 for that work, as well as $2500 or more if they had a conscience. They said they would finish the job and do the cleanup . Of course we never heard from them again. After 3 weeks passed my mother said she didn't want to see them near her house again. I called and left that message on their answering machine and also informed them I was going to report them to the BBB etc. The BBB complaint number is 11481958. I noticed you have a similar complaint concerning fraudulent deception from about 2 yrs ago against this same company. This tells me no one has paid any attention and they are still up to this unscrupulous behavior. BBB says they need more complaints and I hope they start getting them because the news paper published the fact that JD Haulers owes the state of NY $46,000 in back taxes so they will probably be on the hunt for unsuspecting elderly victims. Owner arrived on time. Originally planned on an estimate but owner  said if I wished he (and crew) could immediately haul it away---so I hired him. Fast efficient, friendly service.
